damn.
so, this is it. after 32 chapters, the first part of my aureate series has come to an end (with hoobastank, abba, and radwimps playing in the background and me nearly crying while writing the last few chapters) (it be like that sometimes).
in this chapter, i want to clarify the plot points, the reader's ability, and give my thanks to the people who kept this book (and me) growing with their comments and motivation.
the plot:
-this book took place in the current chapters (just like MOKKEGUTS correctly guessed, that wonderful genius).
-dostoyevsky wasn't the true enemy in this one, he maintained his role as a red herring so he could lure the agency (and the mafia) onto the suspicion that he was the real danger here.
-when everyone realized that they had been fooled, it was already too late, because the leader of the doa had obtained the book; starting his plan to cleanse the world of all gifted people so he could build a new civilization (with the book, obviously. i mean, that thing is magical).
-basically everyone who refused to go along with that plan got killed, except y/n and dazai.
-y/n, because she should act as an example, as someone who set a sign to all revolting organizations so they could see what would happen to them if they don't give up, and dazai, because he used the confusion to break out from prison and flee through europe.
-the world will end in two months because the leader of the angels is a bit (a great bit) obsessed with the bible, and the number two has the meaning of balance in it. so, according to this, he destroys the world of gifted people and abilities to create a world where everyone is seen as "equal", meaning no one has an ability. (also, killing people and causing a ruckus is pretty time consuming so i get why he takes so long lmao)
the reader's ability:
- is called impulse, and allows you to transport inanimate objects anywhere you'd like, as long as you can imagine the exact place. the same rule applies to other people, except yourself: you're only able to move in a range of 10 kilometres. (if anyone asks themselves how dazai transports his handwritten letters to you: he made a good friend in bordeaux, who was also hiding, and that friend has the convenient power to transform into a pretty fast bird.)
now... i want to mention the many, many people who kept this fic thriving and evolving, and in no particular order:
