Diverging in Different Directions

Chapter 3

I wake up, to the bright morning sun. I felt very nervous for my aptitude test. I go outside into the kitchen and eat my milk and cereal. My mom gets up and takes me to the hall where i take my test. My mom waves me bye and i walk into a crowd of abnegation people, my home faction. There is a long line I am the fifth person in the line. A lady in a black outfit (i suspect she is probably from the dauntless faction) Calls my name. I walk inside the white building, she takes me in a dark room. I see a long seat with orange rectangles for my head at the top. She tells me to take a seat and relax, There is NOOO POSSIBLE WAY TO RELAX , I think to myself. I ask the lady what her name is. She answers back" Tori". I see a black tattoo peeking out of her shirt I ask her what it is and what it is and what it symbolizes. Tori does not answer me back She just tells me to drink a clear blue type substance, i sniff it. IT SMELLS LIKE ROTTEN EGGS! i eventually drink it, i open my eyes only to find nothing in the room. suddenly a room of mirrors appear and i hear a voice calling out, "choose". "Choose before its too late", I then saw a table with a a knife and a block of cheese. i was confused and really overwhelmed. Suddenly the table dissapeared and a cute puppy and a little girl appeared. the girl was chasing the puppy. then, the puppy turned into a giant vicious dog, it started to chase the girl. the girl screamed. i didnt know what to do so i ran out to the dog and jumped on it! i woke up from the chair and saw the normal aptitude room again. I was breathing so fast and so hard. Tori than tells me to go home early and tell my parents I got sick. I asked her why and what was my result. She just tells me abnegation. I don't believe her, I can't have gotten abnegation. I tell her, " your lying to me". Than she takes me in another room that has no cameras and tell me I got a mixed result. I said that's not even possible I had to get a result. She than says I'm something called divergent. It's very rare and dangerous I can't tell anybody. She than says I got three results, abnegation, dauntless, and erudite. I think to myself " how is that even possible!" She than pushes me out and tells me go straight home don't even tell my family what results I got. I ran out the door and started walking to my house. On my way I meet Augustus.
