The Next Step: Live, Love, Dance

Auditions pt 1

Emily's POV:

My heart is pounding right now. I know that the dance captains don't need to audition because usually if you are the dance captain(s) then it usually means you are one of the best. However, my heart is pounding, for Riley, Giselle, Chloe, Eldon, Amanda, James, West, everyone who was a part of a troupe last season. Our regionals a troupe was good except with the nationals a troupe we seemed to click together and we were one big family. I hope they do the best they can. 

"okay everyone listen up, for those who don't know who we are I am Ms. Kate the studio owner, this is Phoebe the head choerographer, and these girls are Michelle and Emily the dance co-captains"

*Phoebe, Michelle and Emily wave when their name was called*

"for those who are new to do this, basically what is going to happen is that we are first going to have you 30 second freestyle dance, then we will choose 20 dancers move onto the next round. Incase you don't know Emily and Michelle will be on the team since they are the captains, but they will be included for the 20 dancers. So techniqually only 18 of you will make it to the next round." Kate explains

"if you make it then you will be given what to do tomorrow, we wish you good luck and anything to say Phoebe, dance captains" Kate says

"Good Luck to everyone and just relax" Phoebe said

"You want to do the best of what you are capable of doing because we want the best dancers for our team, and if you think you are one of the best dancers here or that you can prove to us that you can be on our team, then show us" I say

"yes you have to prove to us that you want this otherwise you can just leave. So do your best and you might have a chance of being apart of the team Emily and I are on. Good Luck Everyone!" Michelle adds on

"thank you and one more thing to add on to theirs, having a good team means being able to bond together and work as a team and help each other out in the studio and outside of the studio. In the past both of our a troupes have had that which has made us win, right guys?" Kate says

*Everyone in a troupe nods and mumbles "yeah"*

"so in order for you to be on the team work hard and have a good connection to your dancemates, everyone move to the sides please adn we will start the AUDITIONS!" Kate says

*everyone cheers and move off to the sides. 

"First group we have Eldon, James, Hunter, West, and Daniel" Kate announces

Eldon does comtemporary and flips

James does hip hop and flips

West does hip hop and flips

Hunter does hip hop and flips

Daniel does some ballet and contemporary and a few flips

*Everyone claps for them*

"Group two is Amanda, Riley, Chloe, Thalia, and Giselle" Phoebe announces

Amanda does contemporary 

Riley does contemporary, hip hop and a few flips

Chloe does some ballet, contemporary and a few flips

Thalia does contemporary and a few flips

Giselle does acro

"Everyone claps for them*

"Third group Stephanie, Tiffany, Sara, Jason, and Garret,

Stephanie does jazz

Tiffany does hip hop

Sara does acro

Jason does hip hop

Garret does contemporary

"Everyone claps for them" 

"Fourth group we have Jake, Ethan, Noah, Beth, and Richelle

Jake does contemporary

Ethan does ballet

Noah does contemporary

"Everyone claps for them"

"Thank you everyone we will have a tough tiem making decisions to see who moves on to the next round, so talk amongst yourself" Kate says 

We all walk into the office to discuss who gets to move on.

Chloe's POV:

I walk over to the rest of a troupe. They are all in a huddle talking to one another.

"Oh my gosh I am so nervous" Giselle says

"Guys Emily and Michelle are there and we are obviously going to make it at least to the next round" West said

"Who do you think is going to the first cut?" Hunter asks

"I think James, Amanda, Hunter, Chloe, Giselle, Eldon, Thalia, West, Daniel, Richelle, Noah, Jake, Stephanie, Ethan, Sara, Beth, Tiffany, and I are going to make the first cut" Riley says

"I agree" Eldon says

"Guys they are coming out come on lets go" Daniel says

Michelle's POV:

Emily, Phoebe, Ms. Kate and I are right now finding out who qualified for the first round.

"I think everyone who was a part of a troupe last year should make the cut because you can tell they practiced over the last 2 weeks we had off" Phoebe said

"So thats... 11 people 7 more to choose because of Michelle and I" Emily says

"I think Richelle, Noah, Stephanie, and Beth should make it too" Michelle adds on

"yeah, and Jake, Tiffany, and Ethan" Kate said

We review the list a couple times to make sure these are the people we want to have advance to the final round. 

"I think we have it let's go" Phoebe says

We follow her out and to the front where everyoen quickly gathered around.

"First of all there were amazing performances out there if you don't make it this year there is always another chance" Kate says

All the dancer nod and look at each other

"The people who made the cut are: Emily, Michelle, Daniel, Sara, Beth, Jake, Ethan, Stephanie, James, Riley, Chloe, Giselle, West, Thalia, Hunter, Amanda, Eldon, Richelle, Noah, and Tiffany." Kate announces

Everyone who made the cut sigh in relief, everyone else walks out of the studio.

"okay everyone be at the studio tomorrow at 10:30am we have a lot to get done tomorrow, so go and get rested up for your big day tomorrow" Phoebe announces

We all slowly exit out of studio a and to our houses for the rest of the night to get prepared for tomorrow.
