the lovely couple returned to school the next day.

minho had slept at chaeun's house to keep her company since she was feeling a little down.

"chaeun, please be happy today. it breaks my heart seeing you unhappy." minho pleaded.

minho bent forward and kissed her.

she was blushing real hard.

"y- yah... what was that for..."

"anything to make my chestnut smile. but you blushing is cute too.."
minho ruffled her hair.

"i spent and hour doing my hair and yet you ruined it."

"excuse me some of us are trying to have breakfast." one person said.

they were passing by a cafè.

"well, its what couples do felix. you'll know when you have a girlfriend. enjoy your breakfast." minho suddenly kissed chaeun on the cheek.

minho just waved and continued to walk.

"you don- oh, um that was my friend. his name is felix."

as we were walking to school a person told us not to do PDA.

i couldve moved here recently because of something.

i askee minho to go first and made an excuse to visit the bathroom.

i think im going to skip first period to find out anything that relates to my old life.

i walk into the school library where they keep old albums of the school.

as i walked through the rows of shelves, i bumped into someone.

"you wont find anything you're looking for here. you dont belong here. well, not yet."

"oh, you remember me? or was it minho who told you my name?"

"m- minho told me. i dont get it... i dont belong here?" i asked him.

what does he mean?

"you'll find out sooner or later. you're smart anyway so i know you'll figure out on your own. or you could just ask that boyfriend of yours. he's honest but he hasn't told you everything. oops wow i spilled too much. gotta go my girlfriend is waiting for me."

"i thought you didnt have one?"

"she's dead. she wasnt in love with me when she was alive so i cant see her here. goodbye."

we arrived at school and chaeun said she'd meet me in the classroom.

she had to go to the bathroom.

as i was walking to the classroom someone stopped me.

"how long is this gonna take? a year? 10 years? her mom is beggin for her life, ya know."

"felix, please. you dont know what its like."

"im helping you because i know what it feels like. i was here first. sohee died because she was here. do you want that to happen to chaeun, too?"

"if it means she can be happy, then yes. she's never happy in the real world, felix. you know that. you knew her before you came here. you knew me before you came here and you knew me the best."

"stop putting it in past tense. we're here now. i knew you and still know you. if you think she's happy being dead then do what you want. i warned you."

felix disappeared from my sight.

sigh, what am i supposed to do then?
