Where's Dimitri?

The next day I awoke from a peacefull sleep (for once) to see Dimitri's arm slung over my waiste and hugging me to his body as if I were a teddy bear that only he was allowed to cuddle. The look on his face was so peacefull as he dreamed and I couldn’t help but wonder what was filling his mind… Me? Killing Strigoi? Becoming the king of the world? Who knows with him - but at the moment all I really knew is that I was hungry and in need of a trip to the bathroom.

"Dimitri...Dimitri...DIMITRI!" I started saying quietly but when I saw that I was getting no response from him - I grew louder and louder until I finally was right next to his ear and screamed his name. At that, Dimitri jumped and fell off the bed although it wasn’t as funny as I had hoped it would be because where normal people would fall on their butts and cause a scene, Dimitri fell from the bed and landed in a perfect ready position for any attacks or threats present. Although the only threat here at the moment is the fact that I may end up eating him if I don’t have something in my stomach soon.

Dimitri quickly cleared his throat and stood in a casual position as he shook off invisible dust from his bare shoulders. I just snickered and leaped from my side of the bed and into the bathroom. The hot water took a few minutes to come on and during that time I stood next the shower head -away from the water- in a towel grumbling about the damn cold.

Once I was showered and dressed, I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where there were my many friends all neatly packed into the fridge - OH and the gang.

Adrian was standing my the pen window puffing away at his cigarette as Lissa made bacon and eggs in the shabby little kitchen with Christian standing behind her occasionally whispering things into her ears that caused her to giggle and almost drop the spatula. Dimitri was no where to be seen, which I found odd considering he would never leave all of these morois unattended in any circumstance.

"Liss, where's Dimitri?" I asked as I walked up beside her, plucking a sizzling piece of bacon from Christian's hand just as it was about to enter his mouth. He let out a disgruntled 'HEY!' as I scoffed the meat down but I simply shook him off and turned to Lissa.

"He was just here a second ago…" she trailed off as the bacon in the pan began spitting up onto us. Adrian let out a very rude laugh at our little dances as the drops of oil hit our skin but he did nothing to help us. Dam Adrian!

"You know if Dimitri saw you laughing at us and not doing anything to help he would smack you upside the head boy… Moroi or not." I grumbled at Adrian as I poked a finger in his general direction. He didn’t seem to take any notice to my comment though because he simply dropped the cigarette he was smoking into the coffee cup next to him and lit up another one.

"But little dhampir, I have to stand over here so that my hottness doesn’t fuel the flames from the pan over there" He responded which just caused me to give him the bird (middle finger) and just continue to turn the stove down which stopped the spitting bacon. As soon as I did so I heard footsteps thumping towards us from the lounge room, I quickly pushed all of the moroi behind me and assumed the battle position with my silver stake in hand out of the holster in my boots.

"Okay, today is the…" Dimitri rounded the corner and his sentence trailed off as he was me croutching low on the ground ready to attack him.

I felt myself blush and quickly did the same thing that Dimitri did this morning and threw myself into the chair at the kitchen table.

Dimitri snickered before clearing his voice and holding up four small bags in his hands.

"As I was saying - today is your first day at Forks High School."
