Red Demon

The Red chakra was barely noticed by Naruto. Rather it was the presence of something that he picked up. His laughter dying down as he turned his attention towards his brother, he was sure he killed him. So who.. Or what, was he feeling? It had been a long time since he felt this way, but for a brief moment Naruto felt the pang of fear that he used to feel when he lived under his parents roof. He felt the same energy that he somehow was able to pick up on in his brother, it was what he really feared.

This forced Naruto to stand, unable to completely ignore the presence. Yet even though he felt fear, it was for a brief moment, because only moments after, he realized he could take the beastly energy. With some difficulty, but he could do it. Slowly, he stepped over to his brother's corpse, watching as the flames died out but the red chakra replaced them. He questioned if it would hurt, but once again, only for the moment. After all.., "Pain is hilarious." With those words leaving his mouth, Naruto dove his hand into the flames of the chakra.

Almost as soon as he touched it, he watched as his skin began to burn. Flecking off of his skin as his eyes grew wide, before he quickly covered his form in his aura. The burning would die down as his hand and arm began to slowly heal, though of course it was rather fast compared to any normal human. Yet as soon as he did this, the red chakra would rapidly climb up his arm before soon covering his form as it left his brother's dead corpse. Surprise filled the boy before he suddenly let out a scream. 

Pain overcoming Naruto as his vision soon grew hazy and he collapsed, only for everything to fade to black. When he opened his eyes, Naruto realized he was halfway submerged in water. Quick to stand, he would soon look around wildly, the area resembled an underground complex, with pipes running along the ceiling and various hallways. The floor was flooded with a shallow layer of water, a low growling could be heard as Naruto suddenly turned to face a large set of bars. The bars looked wide enough for the boy to slip through them without issue, a large set of doors greeting him as he stared at what seemed to be a barely intact seal sitting on a lock.

Naruto slowly drew closer to the cage, confusion filling him before he soon noticed the large eye that stared at him from the darkness. He also identified that the growling was coming from the cage as well, along with that menacing presence that struck fear into him so many months ago. "What is this...Another human..? No.. You're not human, are you boy?"  The animalistic voice growled out, the eye glaring down upon Naruto's small form. Just the gaze of the beast sent shivers down his spine.

Yet these were pleasureful shivers, his head growing filled with thoughts of greed as he turned his attention up to the tailed beast. "You're what I felt in my brother..All this time it was you who I was afraid of. A little foxy trapped in a cage hehe.~" Another loud growl sounded throughout the mindscape as the waters around Naruto grew more disturbed. "Don't mock me child. I could end your life easily." This brought a loud giggle from the lips of the mentally broken child, looking up at the cage as he stepped closer. 

"Please. Nothing can kill me silly! I'm already dead!" The statement brought more mad giggles from the boy as he soon doubled over in laughter. The Nine-Tails was taken aback, the actions of the strange boy before him confused him quite a bit. To the point where he was worried that if he continued speaking to the boy he might just lose his own mind. Not only was he not intimidated by him, but he seemed rather eager to confront the beast. As Kurama stared down at the laughing boy, he now began to take in his features. 

After seeing through his host's eyes for five years, it didn't take him  very long to notice that this was in fact his host's brother. The one he watched his host abuse on more than a few occasions. What was his name.., "Naruto..?" The beast spoke out, catching the attention of the boy as his ears perked up. "Ah..You know my name!How fun!~" Naruto bounced about in the water, his giggles now more like an excited child. "Yes yes..Answer me..What happened to you..?" Naruto suddenly halted in his enjoyment, turning his attention up to the cage with a dark look. 

The grin on his face was enough to disturb the fox slightly, yet he didn't show any fear. "What happened to me..? Well haven't you been watching? You know my name after all, you should be able to see what mostly happened up until my brother's death correct?" This caused the beast's eye to grow wide, shocked by the sudden news. His previous host was dead? Yes he felt his life force slowly be drained away until it was merely nothing..which is why the seal was so damaged, but it was soon replaced by a rather powerful forced. He just assumed someone had used their life force to save the boy. 

If they didn't, he would have been able to escape, but he was still trapped here. His eyes soon turned to stare down daggers upon the boy before him. "You.. Release me." The words were dark, the growl leaving the tailed beast. "Uh oh..~ He found out!" More giggles left Naruto, only for the cage to suddenly gush water, the water beginning to fill the room as it attempted to drown Naruto. Yet almost as soon as it started, it was also stopped. A darkness suddenly filling the room and soon suppressing the water and forcing it away. 

Naruto clicked his tongue, shaking his head disapprovingly as the shocked beast grew silent. "Now now..~ Don't need to go starting trouble. I don't need your power like my family or these worthless villagers do. I just came here to strike a deal." This caught the attention of the beast, wondering just what the boy could offer him. Kurama stayed silent, Naruto taking this and assuming he was listening, so he continued. 

"I'll give you freedom, in exchange, you work for me. Think of it more like a partnership if you will. I have plans to make this wretched world bow before the power of the strong. I'd release you if you make a pact with me." Kurama thought for some time, he didn't want to be some child's errand boy, but if he didn't make this deal, he would still be stuck here. If the boy wanted, he could easily call upon his power that is trapped in Naruto's body. Yet if he agreed, then he would gain freedom. "What would this pact entail..?" The tailed beast asked, making Naruto grin widely at this. 

"Easy, you help me keep this world in check when I take full control of it. I'll give you whatever land you desire, all you have to do is keep the nin inside of it from acting out. Of course I plan to kill off any and all village leaders or powerful influences. Any scrolls with knowledge on how to capture you once more will be destroyed. You'll gain freedom, but will ultimately be tied to me as a bit of insurance that you don't run of..~" The words that the boy spoke sounded rather interesting to the fox, he would be free, in control of however much land he desired, and would never be trapped again. 

This deal sounded like purely gains for the fox, all he had to do was provide a little coverage for the tyrant. Help him better control the world he wished to claim. He would end up on top, and he was gaining far more than actually losing. After all, with that previous display of power, he knew the boy could easily control this world. He just seemed rather immature, or more, unwilling to handle such a large task. The attempts on his life would be rather vast, and keeping anyone from running off by himself would be difficult. 

In other words, it sounded like the boy more wanted his help rather than needing it. Yet Kurama wasn't complaining, he was getting quite the luxury by agreeing to this. "Alright kit.. I agree to your terms." This caused Naruto's eye's to grow wider as his grin stretched further, if that was even possible. "gOoD." The demonic tone sounded from the boy and caused Kurama's eye's to wide. Soon black chains were sprouting from the boy's back and lunging at the beast at surprising speeds. The fox, still trapped in the cage, could do nothing as the chains suddenly wrapped around every limb, and slipped into every crevice, the fox contained. Only to dissolve into his red fur, slowly staining it black as pained growls left the beast. Kurama had little time, soon collapsing as his vision faded to black, the last he could hear was the mad laughter of the boy named Naruto. 

Yes yes, I exist. For a brief period of time I had two jobs, decided I hated my second job, and quit. But I still have another job and 6 classes. So I'll be struggling. However, I gave up all my spring break and summer to work full time on campus. So I'll be here, writing chapters, quite often from march 8th-14th. Along with that the entire 3 months in the summer. Happy to finally get back into the swing of things.
