Old Habits

Adrien P.O.V.

I stood next to Marinette watching the snowfall. The snow was beautiful. It came down in the form of snowflakes. 

"Marinette, it's time for bed! Make sure Adrien feels comfortable" Marinette's mom said, "He's our guest. Though he harmed you in the past, you must treat him well!"

With one last glare, Marinette replied, "Of Course", her face scrunched with disdain and hate.

We went through the trapdoor.

"I'm going to go and change. Don't you do anything SILLY!" she said scornfully, as she opened her closet, picked out a few articles of clothing and went in the bathroom.

I observed the surroundings. Marinette's room looked just as same as it was before. Her pink bulletin board's pictures were changed.

Before, when we were together, her bulletin board was decorated with pictures of us. Now, there were still pictures of us, but I was ripped. Like the one where we went to Disneyland, I got cut out and there was only Marinette. Pictures of me, Alya, Adrien, and Nino, I got cut out.

There even was one of her and Kagami! But the one that made me red the most was the picture of her and Luka. Luka and Marinette were holding hands, with the rest of the Kitty Section. But unlike everybody else, Marinette and Luka were too busy looking at each other than looking at the camera.

"I'm done," Marinette said, as she came out of the bathroom.

Her blue hair was tied into a braid, and she wore a white dress with a flower on the side. It matched the theme of her favorite outfit.

"You can go now," Marinette said, but I was too busy staring at her, too notice. "Earth to Adrien?" Marinette asked as she hit me on the head with a pillow. I then noticed.

With a sad face, I remembered a memory.

Marinette came out of the bathroom, in a beautifully adorned blue dress. It matched her hair, and she did it herself. "Hi, Adrien," she said, smiling. "You can go in now," she added. I was too busy staring at her. "Adrien, Earth to Adrien," she asked. I didn't reply. She hit me with a pillow on my head. "What did you do that for?" I asked. "Whenever you're staring at me, not listening, I will hit you with the pillow on your head!" she laughed.

My face crumpled. I met Marinette's. Her eyes seemed sad again. Her mouth crumpled into a sad face. She remembered too. "Sorry, Adrien. Old Habits" she said, but this time, she didn't speak with hate, she spoke with a hint of sadness.

"I'll go in now" I said.

I walked out of the restroom, seeing Marinette fast asleep. Her braid was a mess, and the blanket covered her. She was clutching a black cat with green eyes and a green paw. On the collar was the name Chat noir.

Marinette may have hated me, threw evidence of us, but she kept one memory. One of the most important.

Chat Noir, the black kitty cat. I gave it to her for her birthday. On the bottom of the floor there was a mattress and a black blanket and a pillow. I got in and slept.

Too be honest though. I never actually cheated on her. Chloe is the girl I cheated Marinette on. Chloe told me if I didn't cheat on Marinette with her, she would ruin Marinette's bakery and make sure Marinette and her parents would live on the streets.

I did it.

My happiness was less important than Marinette's family's.

I was told, that I was like a zombie with no life. My eyes had no meaning, and my voice lost a tone. People said I was lifeless.

For everybody's sake, I pretended there was nothing wrong. I dated Chloe for a while, but never talked with her. I always talked about Marinette. When It was Chloe's birthday, I said, "I miss Marinette," Chloe got furious, "I'm your gf, not Marinette! We're over'

I didn't handle losing Marinette well. On her birthday I cried a river. I didn't eat food for weeks until my father begged me.

I called my pillow "princess" and took the Ladybug stuffie Marinette gave me everywhere. I truly missed her.

There's a 0% chance our relationship will be the same as it was before, but, maybe we could move on to friends.

I don't want to sound selfish, but I really wish the blizzard would last for at least 2 weeks.

Marinette's more than a friend to me. She has always been.

A/N: I'm changing Adrien cheating on Marinette with Kagami, but instead with Chloe. It makes more sense.
