Jisung sits at his desk finishing some last-minute assignments.

He puts down his pencil and stretches, picking up his phone after doing so.

He looks at the time, seeing it was now 10:48 pm.

He yawns and shuts his laptop, turning off his desk lamp and walking to his closet to change.

He goes to brush his teeth, then walks back to his room and climbs into bed, ready to fall asleep.

But just as he was pulling the blanket over him, his phone chimes next to him on his bedside table.

He picks it up, seeing he got a text notification.

When he checks the notification, however, he becomes shocked.

Minho
Hey. Are you up?

Jisung stares at the screen, almost dropping his phone.

He completely forgot he exchanged numbers with Minho the other day when they were walking to school.

He contemplates whether he should open it and answer or not, but then he accidentally taps on it.

Jisung's eyes widen as he stares at the opened message.

Now, Minho knows he read it.

Jisung panics.

Because he doesn't want to seem like he's ignoring the older, he quickly sends back a reply.

Jisung
Yeah. What's up?

Jisung couldn't tell if he was being too straightforward or too formal, but at this point, he was too focused on what Minho would say to notice anything else.

Within seconds, Minho replied back.

Minho
Nothing. I just wanted to chat and say hi

Jisung doesn't notice the smile slowly creeping onto his face as he continues to text him.

Jisung
Oh, then hello

Minho
Are you going to sleep soon?

Jisung
Maybe a little bit later. You?

Minho
Me too. So what are you doing right now?

Jisung
Just finishing up some homework. What about you?

Minho
Feeling kind of bored, and hungry

Jisung
Lol maybe you should get something to eat

Minho
I was thinking I'd go out to the convenience store
Want to come?

Jisung
Sure

Jisung stares at the text he sent Minho.

Did Minho really ask him to go out?

And did he really just say yes?!?

Jisung starts freaking out, as he usually does.

Minho
Cool
I'll see you outside in 5 min

Jisung quickly rolls out of bed and runs to his closet, pulling out random shirts and hoodies.

In the span of those 5 minutes, Jisung managed to not only find a decent looking outfit but also fix his hair.

He looks at himself in the mirror one more time before finally walking out of his apartment.

As he locks his door, Minho walks out of his apartment.

"Are you ready to go?"

Jisung gives a small smile.

"Yeah."
