Why I dislike crossmare.

Why I don't like the ship

So,don't go attacking me because I spoke my mind,if you like the ship cool, but don't expect everyone to like it since you do.

Besides,even if you do send hate i won't respond or even care to read it,cause at the end of the day it is my opinion.

That happens to be unpopular.

So let's just start off,

Why I dislike crossmare

First of all,the ship is overly cliche to me.

Every single crossmare book I see always has the same concept as

Nightmare the strong,possessive and 'scary' dom with no self control what so ever.

Cross,the more feminine,friendly and 'cute' sub, that can control nightmares temper,and needs to be protected 24/7 or god knows what will happen.

What bothers me is that The personalities don't match up with the actual character at all.

Nightmare to me seems like the chill person who's always in a bad mood,but can smile. He would try to force someone to obey him, but has self control and doesn't seem like the type to care enough, let alone fall in love with a team mate.

Cross seems like a quiet and reserved person, that knows how to behave and act when the time comes,but can lighten a mood up.
He doesn't seem like the type to submit easily and does not need to be protected 24/7.

He knows how to fight,we were shown that in underverse, clearly.

Also, why tf would cross need someone like nightmare to love him?

I am going by underverse,which basically states that cross only sees nightmare as his boss and helper, cc only thing of him as a scary boss,so where in the deepest pits of hell did you get that they were lovers????

Don't give me shit like:
'Because nightmare spared him.'

Because he litteraly threatened to kill cross if he didn't get his work done properly,and I'm no genius but I don't think that would make a good relationship start.

I don't think anyone would want to get with the person who threatened to kill them.

If you do,you need some help.

Now,of course you can say things such as

'but afterdeath basically has the same kill dynamic,so why do you ship that?'

Well guess what?

That's the point.

That's-That is how they are supposed to meet.

Honestly,if you didn't think the god of death  wouldn't come to killl his half dead victim then I don't know what goes on in your mind.

The idea of after death is generally,

The god of death is supposed to kill an overdue soul and bring them to rest but eventually takes interest within them.

It can be boring at times,but if you do it write it correctly,then it can cause for an amazing story.

Crossmare..... Nightmare to me generally does not have any interest within cross except gaining and feeding off negativity from the people that cross take valuable coding from.(nightmare is probs ace lmao)

He didn't need cross alive because cared,he needed cross alive so that he could have him take coding and feed of cross' victims negative energy,

He needed cross for power.

So they made a deal.

So they both got what they want.

It was in no way romantic to me.

At the end of the day though,this is my opinion. You can tell me what you think but if you scream at me in the comments saying that crossmare is real and expect me to agree then you are surely mistaken.(and guess what???i wouldnt care either way abt ur opinion sooooo :D)

I am a very stubborn person,and I know my shit,so unless you can come up with some godly reason for me to ship crossmare,you best bet that my opinion won't change because you said so.

And at the end of the day,I don't really actually care what you have to say,because it's my opinion and if you got worked up over that well then, that sounds like your problem.

I came to share my unpopular opinion,not to agree with yours.
