Weapon: Rin's nirichin sword is somewhat like his little sister Shinobu's sword, the blade is like a regular nirichin sword but it also has arachnid venom & wisteria laced along the sword that was created with the help of Shinobu.

Appearance

Rin is a tall slender male with fairly pale skin. His eyes posses very small pupils and have a haze gradient from a soft sherbert to melon orange. Rin has hair that falls just below his shoulders that gather into a low but tight ponytail with pieces that frame the side of his face dropping to his ears. His hair fading from black to grey blue at the tips.

Rin wears the standard demon corps uniform that is a shade of dark orange. Rin's haori is a dual shade of sherbert orange to apricot orange with spider lilies decorating the bottom of the haori and sleeves.

Personality

Rin is mainly known for his empathy to others, he is friendly to everyone and rather blunt when it comes to the truth. He is respectful when it comes to people's boundaries and such. Much like his younger sister Shinobu he hides his true emotions with a fake smile. Rin is rather crude when it comes to fighting demons as he falsely pretends to befriend the demon and then quickly dispose of them, his mean attitude due to his younger sister Kanae being killed by a demon.

When meeting Tanjiro and his demon sister Nezuko Rin is kind to the pair instead of brash and mean like the other pillars aside from Shinobu and Giyuu. When around Shinobu and Kanao the arachnid pillar is quite kind to the two females since they're his remaining family and he wants to make sure that they are safe and happy.

History

The Kocho siblings lived a peaceful privilege life together with their wealthy loving parents, who continuously dotted and cared for them, with the siblings wanting for nothing and were truly content with their simple life together. However, this all came crashing down when a demon attacked their home. Their parents were brutally killed right in front of them as they tried to protect them, and they themselves were barely spared from death as they where saved right in the nick of time by the arrival of Gyomei Himejima, who killed the demon immediately before it could kill either of them. After these traumatic events the three made a promise to join the demon slayer corps themselves and swore to stop the demons from inflicting the same horror and pain they experienced on others. The three of them soon became successful Demon Slayers after completing their training and mastering their own Breath Styles.

Rin is the first of the three to become a pillar, the arachnid pillar with Kanae following behind shortly as the flower pillar. Rin helped his sisters in taking a young Kanao from a cruel man and brought her to the butterfly estate to treat her. Within the following years Rin and Shinobu lose Kanae to the upper moon 2 of the 12 kizuki, in the midst of their sister dying Kanae tries to get both Rin and Shinobu to leave the demon corps but they won't go through with it and vow to avenge her. In her dying breaths Kanae describes the demon to them before finally passing.
