Exposition: Luna and Alpha Venice

(Exposition)

(Alpha Hilton Dem POV)

The sound of a heel clicking on the marble floors of the hall, pulls me out of my reverie.

As the noice gets closer, the door swings open to reveal Dena Paulik. A tall, lean women with silk black hair, and head of the pack council.

She enters the room, and walks to the table.

Once she sits, I stand up adjusting the tie on my neck for about the hundredth time this evening, never being capable of tying it, Catherine always being there to do it for me. I slightly wince at the pain surging in my heart. I mentally shake my head trying to rid it of the painful memories.

After the tie situation is settled.I clear my throat gaining every ones attention."I have summoned you all here because I have come to an important decision"

The council leans in waiting for me to continue.

"I have not been my self as of late, and I have not been prioritizing my alpha duties as I should. I find it difficult to run a pack in such a state of grief, so I've decided to give up my alpha title."

"Sir with all do respect I understand how you feel, but are you sure you want to relinquish your title." A man looking half my age with shaggy blonde hair says.

I almost snap at this, my jaw clinch so tight I may have broken a tooth, he has no idea what I possibly can be feeling, no idea when someone you love so deeply is snatch away from you, someone you knew you would kill for even before you knew you where mates. He has no idea... Especially for him to ask that question.

" I'll get started on a list of alphas worthy enough to take on your title." Another of the council men said sensing my annoyance.

" I have already found someone worthy to fill my title."

I say motioning to my left.

They look over, surprised by who they see.

"Though lately I haven't been acting like it, I do know that as alpha it is my duty to carry on my legacy, though I do not have a son to give it to, I do have someone else in my bloodline too...and who is as much as worthy to do it."

"That been said I've decided to give the Alpha position to Venice... "and she will rule as Alpha and Luna, until she fines her mate of course, then he will take up the position of Alpha " I say looking at the council.

"It's not known to have a Luna rule in the same pack she was raised in, nor rule as both Alpha and Luna." One of the important male council member says.

"We'll I have had this day on my mind for a while now, wondering who would take up my position if I have no rightful heir to inherited, but over time I've made up my mind that if I weren't to have a son then my daughter would be as good to rein as well.
Knowing that it was a possibility I have trained Venice more than any of the warrior wolves to be Luna, and my mate catherine taught her the duty of Luna. Though I did not know at the time I would end up giving my title to her as well, but she's observant, and already knew the basics enough, and when I came to this decision two years ago I made sure to teach her as much of my duties as possible, So she is well capable of being Alpha and Luna.

"Until she fines her mate, I will help as much as I can, but I know that my daughter is more than worthy to for fill the Alpha tittle of this pack and lead it to greatness with or without me."

"But if her mate is already an alpha, -which is likely because of her dominance- and does not have anyone to pass his pack to, then they will have to combined packs making them have twice the responsibility of their titles, it would be better to let the pack be ruled by someone not in your bloodline and that you trust, and have Venice for fill her duty as another packs Luna if that's her destiny, instead of them have to be burdened with all of the responsibility of being Luna and Alpha of two packs." The man speaks again.

Some of the other council nod in agreement.

"It's not unheard of, and them under similar circumstances are known to have one of the strongest packs, if you rule right."

"But it's still would be a lot on her to gain not one but two tittles and what will the other packs think of this?- they'll think of this pack as weak, and she surly won't be able to gain the respect of an alpha, and Luna or keep this packs statu-,"

Not being able to stand listening any more I cut him off.

"Enough" . " I glanced over to Venice, her face passive, before looking back at the man. "Enough with your opinion, my daughter will be a great Luna and Alpha, and she will do what she needs to do to gain the respect of the two tittles." I say firmly leaving no room for another argument.

"Well... If you insist that the next ruler of this pack carries your blood line then, I'm for it." Dena say's

"For" she say as she raises her hand.

"Against...."

"Seem it's settled Venice Vem daughter and heir of late Luna Catherine Vem and Alpha Hilton Vem will be Luna and Alpha of. Dark realm.
