C25. Am I sort of useless?

This was Mimi's second jailbreak today.

Rong Yi checked the box and found that the buckle on the lid was loose. It looked like it was fastened, but in fact Mimi could slide out smoothly with a slight push from inside.

Rong Yi was stunned, holding the empty box, and his fingers turned icy cold as he panicked.

At least two hours had passed since he covered the box with the cloth. Whether Mimi had escaped from the box and whether or not it was still in his room was unknown.

He scanned his room quickly in panic and found nothing unusual.

Zhou Li's voice came from the phone: "Don't panic, it will not be very active when it's full. It's probably a bit scared in a strange place, so it wanted to find a safe corner. Usually it will be some small hidden space.

But on second thought, maybe Mimi had not gone far and was just hiding under his bed, which would not threaten Chen Keyao at all. Whereas if Rong Yi told Chen Keyao about this, Chen Keyao might be so worried that he would lose sleep, then his mind would go unstable and then he might burn the whole building down. Now that would be unnecessary.

Just as he was struggling, he suddenly heard an earth-shaking scream coming from the living room.

Flinging open the door, he saw Chen Keyao flying over the walls.

Rong Yi stared at him in shock as he flew up to the ceiling with one hand on the curtain pole, one foot on the corner of the ceiling. Sprawling all over the ceiling, he was screaming loudly.

"Did you see..."

Before he finished, Chen Keyao shouted, "Snake! Snake!"

Although Rong Yi was scared too, this situation forced him to be brave. He took the empty box and went out cautiously. "Where did you see it?"

"There!" Chen Keyao shouted from the ceiling.
