She sat there as the alarms blared outside of the cells. Brandishing a blaster in her left hand, Iri was prepared for whatever might come her way.

The hunter saw multiple people, presumably a group trying to break someone out, race past. One of them stayed in the corridor while the others searched the numerous hallways.

Blaster shots rang through the air and a body crumbled to the floor.

From the top of the ceiling, popped out the head of the Mandalorian, who's tracker was beeping wildly. Iri had an idea- no, a plan.

"So, you're going to hitch a ride with the Mando, kill him in the middle of it, and steal the ship? I like your thinking Iri."

"NO! THERE HAS TO BE ANOTHER WAY! YOU CANNOT KILL THE MANDALORIAN! HE IS OF YOUR OWN TYPE! AND IT WOULD BE IMMORAL TO DO SO!"

"AV-"

"I WILL NOT ALLOW IT!"

Iri sighed. Maruka's voice rang out through the silence, "Iri, you are a smart woman. You can manipulate or convince. I barely know you, and you convinced me to not kill you. I was going to kill you both, but the door to the cockpit never opened. I believe that you can gain his trust. Gain it and let him do the same. Be compliant. Do not rush him. Once you are able to prove that you are not a worthless bounty, you should be able to work together."

"That could work."

"What about you guys? You both need a ride!"

AVERY shook her head. "I have served my purpose. You will be safe."

"Maru-"

"You want me to hitch a ride with you?! Even after I said I was going murder you?! You poor thing. Darling, you will go on without us. Stay strong."

As she was told to do so, Iri was following the Mandalorian around like a lost puppy. Suddenly, she shot him in the leg with her blaster. Crying out in pain, he could see her run down a specific hallway to get her clothing. Afterwards, she came racing back with said clothing, and a first aid kit.

Helping him up, Iri dragged the hunter to his vessel, where another prisoner was waiting. As they boarded the ship, she got gauze out and wrapped the hunter's leg.

"Why are you helping me?"

"I had to apologize for shooting you, right?"

"Why did you shoot me?"

"I had to get armour."

"How do you still have your helmet on? I thought they would've taken it?"

"I threatened to break some of their bones, basic stuff."

He sighed and went to the cockpit, starting the vessel up and flying off into space.

Hey, eggs.
So I have a dilemma.
Season two for The Mandalorian is coming out this fall...
I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
The book will probably be on hold during the eleven-month grace period.
The book revolves around the plot of the show, so I don't want to write something that ends up being completely off track.
Also, this was a pretty crappy chapter.
