It was peaceful and welcoming. I was sitting reading my book after ordering a slice of red velvet cake. The atmosphere was perfect; the lack of people made the experience of reading so much more enjoyable. Being able to be sucked into a book just like that was what I enjoyed the most. My favourite genre is (F/G) and recently I've been reading (Book/N) which is probably one of the best books I've read. I had one of my earphones in playing a ballad version of Psycho as I read when I heard...
♪*Ring Ring*♪
The bell at the door indicating someone entering rung. It seemed to bring me out of my world. At that moment a beautiful woman walked in; short blonde hair, shimmering brown eyes and an innocent smile. I couldn't deny the fact that she was gorgeous. She was holding a book between her arms and headed over to order some food. Was I staring? From what I could tell she realised and gave me a small smile and a wave. She made her way over to my table by the window and greeted me. In her hands, she was now carrying a small plate with a chocolate croissant.
Her smile seemed to warm my heart, why was she so cute? She greeted me with her calm voice, "Hello, I saw you staring, did you need something?" I didn't know how to reply, still confused by why she decided to talk to me. "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to stare haha..." you trailed off. She simply replied to you with "Do you mind if I sit with you? It feels a bit strange sitting so far away from each other when there are only a few others here." I nodded in reply.
"So, what are you reading?" She asked, interest peaking in her voice. "Oh, it's just a book called (B/N)" I said with a smile, taking another bite of my cake as she began eating her croissant. "What book do you have, I saw it when you walked in" I questioned, she smiled in response and replied, "It's called 'her favourite color was yellow', I really enjoy poetry and I guess it calms my mind when I'm stressed to just read something like this." She described the book as I looked at the cover with more detail. It was yellow with plain black text with the title. Now that I looked at what she was wearing, it seemed to match. She wore a cream coloured cardigan as her shirt and a long skirt which suited her perfectly. She gave off that peaceful vibe that you'd always want to be around. I snapped myself back to reality and asked, "what's your name?" which she responded with "Park Jihyo, you?" You smiled at such a pretty name, "F/N (Full name), you have a really pretty name Jihyo." She smiled back at you and said: "Thank you, you do too!"
After a while of chatting, I learnt that she was an aspiring singer and enjoyed coming to this cafe often, it seemed like we were already so close, as if you were meeting up with an old best friend. Jihyo listened intently to everything you had to say, shared music interests and talked about what we like so much about this place. She really understood everything I said and for once it wasn't like talking to a brick wall. We smiled and laughed at each other's jokes.
"Do you mind if I get your number?" You asked, blushing at the cheeks. Jihyo grinned, finished her croissant and handed me her phone. Even her phone case was cute, a plain cherry blossom case. I entered my phone number and handed it back.
After some time past, we both left and wished eachother a safe return.
