Hi, yes I am alive and back with a new chapter. I don't know what to say so let's get to the new chapter.
So the song pretty much starts right off the bat with their "fates". Nothing to say there.
Right after that they talk about the fact that this is a show. Saying that tonight they are live.
They then each have a line some of which are very interesting. For example Katherine Howard's line which is "I'm done cause all this time I've been just one word in a stupid rhyme" Now K. Howard was one of the less talked about Wives. The most being Anne Boleyn. So giving her this line makes sense.
Catherine Parr follows that with the line "So I picked up a pen and a microphone" which would make sense considering that Parr wrote various books as is mentioned in "I Don't Need Your Love"
After that is the line sung by all six queens "History's about to get overthrown" which may seem unimportant right now but we'll get back to this line later.
The pre chorus is a repetition of their "fates".
The chorus has an interesting line. In the chorus they sing "Get ready for the truth that we'll be revealing" now this line actually has kind of a tie with the line "History's about to get overthrown" both revealing that the show won't show the side of them that history has portrayed but rather show their story from a new perspective.
As interesting as the other parts of this song have been the most interesting lines, in my opinion, are in the second verse.
So in the second verse they go back to the fact of showing a new perspective by saying "C.A: All you ever hear and read about, A.B: Is our ex and the way it ended"
But Anne of Cleves line is quite intriguing. Her line is "You're gonna find out how we got unfriended" which is quite ironic because out of all of them she was the one that had it best with Henry. She was actually invited to court even after Henry and her got divorced. She also received a ton from Henry. So for Cleves to sing this line is quite funny.
Catherine Parr line is also quite interesting. She sings "Every Tudor rose has its thorns and your gonna hear'em live in Consort" the last part of this line can be confused with the word "concert". But that's what makes it interesting. It's a play on words. The word consort means a spouse. In this case a royal spouse with no power. But then it can also be mistaken for the word concert which means a musical performance in public.
They then go back to the pre chorus and on to the chorus which has the line "Dancing to the beat till the break of day, Once we're done we'll start again like its the renaissance" which kind of seems like they're going to continue doing the show to reveal their side of the story to as many people as possible.
Then they go on to explain who each queen was which is pretty self explanatory.
The final pre chorus and chorus don't really have any really interesting lines that need explaining.

A\N: That's it for Ex-Wives. I just want to say that this is entirely my interpretation and it does not mean that that's what it actually means. I was just explaining what I believe it means and what I think. If you have any other interpretations than feel free to tell me in the comments or you can pm me. Also this book is just for fun. Anyways I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I'll try to post the next one soon. PEACE OUT PEEPS!
