My name is Vixin Angel. Vague, I get it. Really all you should know is that I have a few skeletons in my closet. Pun intended. Anyway, if you really want me to get down to the point I found what I love most on a, well, more deadly mission. To those who are more mature, I hope you understand. But we should probably get into why I went on this so-called 'mission'.
Vieran bit the bubble on her bottom teeth popping it as she aimed the ball for the throw.
"Stay calm and aim," She had repeated in her head.
Vieran and her friend Vixin were attending an annual carnival hosted in Ebott city. Vixin managed to get tickets and permission to attend with Vieran and Vixin's brother, Grey, but Grey is most likely with his new gang or whatever they call it.
Vieran threw the green, rubber ball. It hit straight into the red circle. The panda was hers. She pulled her green and black cap down over her baby-blue eyes. She moved the sleeve that protected nothing behind her with her right hand. She held the black and white bear by its neck.
"Vieran, you won?" Vixin ran to Vieran from another game near the one Vieran was just at. Vixin wore a white t-shirt with a pair of jean shorts over
black tights. She had a black braid over one shoulder and had skin as white as snow. Her green eyes stared intently at Vieran. She was holding a black beanie that she had one for Vieran at the game she was originally at.
"You sound surprised. Losing an arm and beating cancer just makes me try harder," Vieran presented herself to Vixin in an elegant manner.
"Oh, sweety, you sound overconfident. Oh and also, I got you a hat," Vixin chuckled lightly as Vieran's 'angry' face melted into happiness.
"You didn't have to," She replied as she took the hat slowly with the bear still in her hand.
"Oh but I did, you deserve it," Vixin was great at walking and talking so they began to walk back to the hotel where they were staying down the road. The night sky was intimidating, but the street and carnival lights led their way down the sidewalk.
"But I got, like, a billion other gifts from you," She replied.
"So what, it's not like one more hat is gonna do much," Vixin sighed as she stepped up towards Grey and his friends. "Hey Grey, would it kill you to be a little closer to the fairgrounds? Mom said-" Vixin was cut off rudely by one of Grey's friends, Pat.
"Oh 'mom said'. Would you shut-up, we and Grey have things to attend," He mocked Vixin and got up close to her in a more threatening way.
Grey was a good kid. He got good grades, was kind, enjoyed hanging out with Vixin and Vieran, and most of all found joy that Vieran was still alive. She had had brain cancer and just a few weeks ago did they find out that she was cancer-free. He shared a similar resemblance to Vixin, the only difference was he had brown eyes and had one streak of blue in his black hair.
Vixin stood her ground, hiding her instant fear, "leave me alone. Grey lets go."
"I-I..." Grey looked around to see all of his friends give him the 'you
better make us happy' look. "No." He stated.
"Grey, c'mon let's go," Vieran's soft expression looked at Grey deeply.
"Hey, leave Grey alone. He said no dude," Alex pushed into Vieran as two others held Vixin in place.
"Hey, let her go!" Vixin yelled.
"Aw, poor Vixin. What, you think you can have everything?" Pat replied as others fought Vieran. Each time she got hit she would give mercy. And Grey just watched from the sidelines. His deadpan face giving no signs of remorse for Vieran. He was being that stupid? Yes, yes he was.
"No. Please stop," Vixin sobbed as she saw her friend unconscious on the paved road. Her plead and tears made the attackers lose interest.
Vixin ran to Vieran and carried her bridal style.
"I-I didn't mean for this to happen! I-" Grey looked worried but Vixin wouldn't buy it.
"Zip it!" she shouted at him, tears streaming down her face. She began to run to the hospital, but she soon stopped. With her back still turned to Grey she briskly said, "You're not my brother." Then she ran towards the nearest hospital with Vieran in her arms.
Soon enough, they reached the hospital and put Vieran on a stretcher, "C'mon, don't give in VeVe, you're too strong to go out like this," Vixin told Vieran as she was rushed through the white halls on a hospital bed. The world around, blurring at their speed.
Eventually, after a minute of running, red doors came up with a sign on it that read 'Staff Only'. Vixin respected the rules no matter how much she wanted to stay with her one and only friend.
Vixin walked slowly back through the halls, the clean smell sending her back to the day she needed to get her soul checked. More specifically the day she had met Vieran. Ten years ago Vixin's mom was gathering paperwork as six-year-old Vixin played with her thumbs on a chair in the waiting room.
"Hey, m-my name's Vieran," Vieran had approached Vixin with enough
encouragement from her mom. Vixin only blankly stared at Vieran.
"Vixin," She replied.
"What are you here for?" Vieran asked with a slight tone of hesitance.
Vixin could only shrug in response. You might think that Vixin is rude but truly she's misunderstood. Vixin has just never got a friendship opportunity often for one reason only.
"So, um. What is your favorite color?" Just by Vieran's tone, you could tell that she just wanted to get a conversation started.
"Green. Emerald Green," Vixin pushed her braid back behind her, looking up at Vieran instead of the floor.
"Really? Mine too!" Vieran replied.
They both shared a small laugh as they talked more about their common interests.
Vieran smiled softly, seeing Vixin laugh was an amazing sight to her. Vixin did give off unhappy vibes to most people. That's why rumors were spread that Vixin had killed her own sister three years ago.
"How could a girl, trapped under her own skin for that matter, kill her own sister at three?" Vieran wondered as she talked more with Vixin.
