Just One Day

Yoongi can't help but reflect upon your years together. It was a chance meeting at a fan event that he laid eyes on you and captured his attention. Being shy and sweet when meeting all the members, and then it was his turn and his breath was taken away. And he couldn't help but slip his number into your album that he signed.

He honestly didn't think you'd text or call, but you did, and he couldn't have been happier. What started out as texting and light flirting turned into all-night phone calls while he worked on songs in his studio. Then to dates and inviting you into his space to watch him work. And then to the dorm to meet his brothers. They all loved you instantly like he knew they would.

You fit into his life perfectly, the best he could ever ask for in a girlfriend. You were supportive of his idol life. And understanding when dates got canceled, or practices ran long. His shoulder to cry on when things were tough, and he loved you with all of his heart. He knew that things were leading to this moment and it scared him beyond belief, but he knew you both were ready.

He told you to dress nice and meet him at the dorm for your anniversary. He was so nervous, but thankfully his brothers were there to encourage him, with mild teasing from Jungkook of course. You were supposed to be there in ten minutes, and he couldn't stop fidgeting.

"Hyung, calm down. Everything will be fine." Jimin assures him.

"I know, I know. I'm just nervous." Yoongi replies as he sits down next to him on the couch.

Jimin pats him on the shoulder in comfort and Yoongi just sighs. They sit in comfortable silence and Yoongi nervously dries his sweaty palms on his slacks when the doorbell rings.

"Oh shit," Yoongi says.

"You got this hyung. Fighting!" Jimin says as he goes back to his room.

Yoongi goes to the kitchen to check the food one last time and then heads to the door. He stops at the door and takes a deep breath to calm his nerves and then opens to door to your beautiful smiling face. "Hi, Yoongs," you say.

"Hi, baby." He replies. He opens the door more for you to come inside. He smiles as you step into the apartment and opens his arms to embrace you. You willingly go into his arms and hug him tightly, breathing in his sweet cologne. He gives a sweet kiss to your cheek and you giggle at him.

He notices the small bag that you're holding and asks, "What's that?" as he lets go of you. You step back to slip off your shoes and smile brightly.

"It's your present, of course," you answer as you hold it out for him to take.

He leans down and gives you a simple kiss on your lips and tells you to go sit at the table. He moves into the kitchen and starts bringing out all kinds of dishes for dinner. You are in awe of him and that he made time to make dinner for you when you know he's been busy at work and practice.

Once all the food was brought out you look up at him and say, "How?"

He just smiles his big gummy smile that you love and quietly says, "I always try to make time for you, Y/N. Happy anniversary."

You are stunned at the time and effort that he put into making this such a special night for the both of you that you can't find the words to say. You start to eat, talking and giggling, feeding one another bites. It's almost like your first date all over again, just enjoying each other's company. Once you're both done eating, you hand over the bag you brought.

"Happy anniversary, Yoongs. I hope you like it." You say, sheepishly.

He opens the gift and inside are two blue boxes. He quirks an eyebrow up at you and then takes them out. He opens the top one and inside is a stunning all silver stainless watch. He gasps at the beauty of it and looks up at you with astonishment.

"Babe," he whispers, "this is beautiful. Thank you." He leans over and gives you a kiss. He then opens the second box and it is a smaller silver watch, that matches the first. "What is this?" he asks.

"It's mine," you say. "I got us matching watches."

He laughs and calls you a romantic. You shrug your shoulders and smile, knowing that he's absolutely right. He then takes your hand and lifts you out of your seat. He leads you to the kitchen where he refills your wine glasses and then leads you to the den. It's dimly lit with some music playing, and you smile.

"You really made tonight special, babe." You tell him.

"I wanted it to be memorable," he replies. "Have a seat. I have another surprise for you."

You giggle and sit on the sofa as the music changes and you instantly recognize it. You realize though, that it's just the music when Jungkook comes out to sing the opening, and then suddenly Yoongi starts rapping. You giggle and cover your mouth with your hand. He raps softly, the lyrics meaning so much more now that the two of you are together and then Jungkook comes back with the chorus and your eyes are tearing up. When Jungkook's verse is over, the music fades out and Yoongi is down on one knee in front of you.

His brothers all come out of hiding to witness the moment. At this point, you know exactly what is happening as a few tears stream from your eyes. You look at Yoongi and all you can do is smile. He holds a small black box in his hands and looks at you as if you hung the stars.

"Y/N, you mean the world to me, and I couldn't have asked for a better match than you. Would you please make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?" he asks.

You fall to the floor in front of him and wrap your arms around his neck nodding frantically. You whisper in his ear a chorus of yes's and he starts to tear up as well. You pull back and kiss him deeply and his brothers groan. He slips the beautiful ring on your finger and you couldn't be happier to spend the rest of your life with him.
