Sometimes things you have to end lives for the greater good.
It’s a grown up thing
you’ll understand when you’re older

We were attacked so we did the same to attackers.
It was to prevent more killing from happening
To punish them.
That is what they said
The women, girls, men, and boys that they killed were sinful
They were possessed by the devil or were witches
What they did was justified by the word of god
That is what they said
The gay men were corrupted
They would corrupt their children
That is what they said
They weren’t even human
They were useless stupid animals
That because of their skin color they didn't matter
That is what they said
They said that humans learn.
That after making the mistakes a few times we improve a don’t repeat our mistake
That is what they say
All The people that did the killing aren’t you
We have moved on and learned
That is what we’re taught
Yet for some reason we keep making the same mistake.
We are still killing
We justify our murder with the same reasons
We are following the word of god
What we are doing benefits the community
I wonder what would happen if everyone in the world would stop letting greed run their lives.
For just one day,
would we learn anything truly important?
