With you so far away things will never be the same
And don't worry because you are not the one to blame
I understand that you are tired of playing moms little ring around the Rosie game
Yes it is starting to get old and pretty damn lame
I have all of your stuff in my room and it's taking up my space
But every time I look at it I can see your face
With your softball metal sitting on my trophy case
Man it wasn't long ago that you were playing third and I was playing first base
Remember when dad left us and lewis came to replace
We slept in dads bed that night and didn't go to school the next day
We woke up and there was no food
Until lewis came in with groceries, cooked, and then fixed our plates
They called our dad crazy and we all helped each other keep faith
Without you two my life would have been in disarray
When I talk to you on the phone you shine light to my life in the most tremendous ways
And without you doing that I would have been clicked out and said goodbye to my free days
