I'll Stay

Chapter 16

Day two in my house during the suspension, i still haven't spoken to my mum. What? I am not wrong. She caused it. If only she asked me what happened, she won't call me weak and pathetic. But it hurts me not to speak with her because she has a ticking clock attached to her. I want her last days with me to be special.
"Mum, I'm sorry." I started when she came to the kitchen.
"No I'm sorry Jasmine."
"....."
"What type of mother calls her daughter weak and pathetic?"
"....."
"Please forgive me. Do not hate me."
"I don't hate you mum. I will never hate you. I love you so much."
"Thank you for fighting for me and my dignity no matter the consequence."
"It's nothing mum." I hugged her hard.
We went for a walk to just spend some time together. So my mum's going to leave me just like my dad did. I sighed. This life was really cruel to me but I'll still be positive that there's still something good coming my way.
We kept on walking and talking till a building caught my attention. Not the building itself but the name inscribed on it. It said "Marvin's corporations". And there's only one Marvin i know. It had to be his. Wow. The building was huge.
I tugged at my mum's arm and pointed towards the building. My mum got the gist immediately.
"It's huge."
"Yes it is mum. Besides, he is a multi millionaire or a billionaire even."
"Why haven't you two started...you know...."
"I know what? Mum! He's our boss remember. What does he want to do with me?"
"Marry you of course."
"Mum!"
"You don't see the way he looks at you sometimes."
"Ok that's it. Let's go."
She laughed so hard. This woman.
We walked back to our house and stayed indoors till it was night when we went to bed.

It was the end of my suspension and it was time to return to Master.....i mean return to Master's house. I got to spend a lot of time with my mum. It was needed; the quality time, the rest, and so on....it was really needed.
I and my mum journeyed back to Master's house. To our luck, Eleanor and Lori weren't around. We went to his territory and he was busy on his laptop. We made known our presence.
"Good morning Master." We chorused.
"Welcome back. Mrs Levine, how are you?"
"I'm very well thank you."
"Alright. You may go" we bowed a little and left.
So we cleaned and cleaned till the place was sparkling clean. I was pleased that my mum could do this amount of work after her illness. When we had finished, i took my mum outside to introduce her and William to eachother.
"William" i called out
"..."
"Let me check his shed." I told my mum. I went to his shed and knocked. No answer. I tried to open the door but it was locked. He must have gone out. He'll be back.
I and my mum walked out of the mansion's surrounding and walked towards the parking lot. All his cars were there. Over 8 of them were packed orderly. We admired from outside because i knew Cador has to open the gates if it's Master.
Then we saw William walking from the far end of the street. As soon as he got to where we were, I introduced him to my mum. We talked while walking around the mansion.
Just as we were returning, we saw Lori rushing towards us.
"Thieves." She shouted. Huh? Where'd she even come from?
"Excuse me?" I replied
"Where is my diamond bracelet?"
"What?? We don't know ma'am . We didn't even know when you arrived."
"Liar!" Is this a joke? What is actually going on here? She thinks we stole? Why us?
"Miss Lori please, we didn't steal and we aren't lying."
"Security! Come and search them." The security that has always been at the main gate came rushing towards us.
"Ma'am, There's a little misunderstanding. We didn't take your......"
"Let's go in and open those goddamn bags of yours."
We went inside and the search began. Eleanor came to where we were. She looked like she was pissed that i was back but I don't give a damn. I ain't going nowhere. The security searched my luggage and i was clear. I knew my mum's own would be clear also......wait....he brought out a sparkling.......
