welcome to the place you'll call home for the next few decades. an entire neighborhood of matches will live in the same houses, with the same floor plans, backyards, mailboxes, technology and wifi until they've raised their last child together.

every house is fully furnished, and decorated with a surplus of extra space. on the counter of the kitchen in every house lays a closed, white envelope with the couple's names on it. inside the envelope is a letter which reads the following:

dear matches,

thank you for participating in the mandatory matchmaking process, as all american citizens your age are required to do, no thanks to our dwindling population. you will be rewarded with a house, fully furnished, two new cars in the garage, no mortgage, or any sort of payment, a free honeymoon to any place, all expenses paid that must be used within the next year. once you start your families, you'll be given two all expenses paid vacations a year, and all groceries and other living expenses will be paid by us. and of course, we can't forget the job security for the next thirty-five years with a steady income and benefits. unfortunately, to keep all these perks a certain amount of rules must be followed.

rule one: the marriage must be consummated within three months of the day you both move into the house.

rule two: within six months of the move, the couple must be pregnant with their first child.

rule three: after a child is born to the couple, the couple has a year and a half to be pregnant with the next. the matches are only allowed to divorce and leave the house after their last child has reached the age of eighteen.

rule four: four children is the minimum requirement. if this is successly achieved, then america's population just might have a chance of survival. if the couple wishes to have more children, they are more than welcome to.

rule five: these rules are to be kept secret between the matchmakers and the matches. any breaking of these rules will result in penalties. any inability to conceive the appropriate amount of children in an appropriate amount of time will be dealt with.

rule six: do not rebel against these rules. we will know, and you will be punished. if you have any questions or concerns please email us at matchmakers.inc
