MAVERICK'S POV

   I'm very thankful that James and I are classmates and because of that, we were able to build a better and stronger relationship.

"ok class, pick a partner. we're going to have an activity" ms. Asuncion said

  "how about you Maverick? pick a partner." she added

After she said that, James looked at me. I think he wanted me to choose him as a partner, but i dont want to do it for one reason.

  "I choose Ashley as my partner" i said

  Ashley has a crush on me and the whole class knows about it. so i think it's okay that i pick her as a partner.

  James suddenly looked upset, i felt very sorry for him.

  After i just stated that i chose Ashley as my partner, the whole class screamed as if i just married her, they should all shut up.

I stoop up, i need to go to the bathroom.

  I asked Ms. Asuncion for her consent to let me go to the bathroom. Luckily, she agreed.

JAMES' POV

  Mav knows that i like him, and he does like me back too. But why didn't he choose me as his partner? I'm confused.

I wanted to follow him to the bathroom to talk to him. Just talk.

  I asked Ms. Asuncion for her consent as well and she let me go. I'm glad.

I saw Maverick in the bathroom already washing his hands.

   "I want to talk, please" i said
 
    "Is it because i didn't chose you as my partner? im very sorry i didn't-" he asked but i stopped him

   " tell me why." i said in a low toned voice

"Believe me James, i wanted you as a partner but i just cant! i heard some people gossiping about us being too close" he said

"James, i love you. But we live in a judgemental society! I just cant. I really hope you'd understand." he added

  " But i dont care about what other people says. And they shouldn't care either!" i stated

  "why is it such a big deal whether you marry an older guy, have a same sex relationship or etcetera. IF IT'S LOVE THEN LET IT BE!" i yelled

he stepped back, i could feel that he is frightened by the way i talked.

  i stepped closer to him to give him a hug

" I'm sorry i scared you." i said

"dont be sorry, i know you didn't mean to" he said

  fuck, why am i suddenly horny?

  "James, i could feel your boner" Mav said

"Can we? you know-" i asked but then he stopped me

he pit his finger into my lips to shut me up

  "No, not now. maybe next time but not on this place. Please" he pleaded

  "ok, next time, promise?" i asked

i raised my pinkie finger and he locked his pinkie on mine as a state that we'll do it.

"we should probably go back now" he said.

we went back to our classroom together, smiling.
