Chapter 8: The House

Missy's POV:

I haven't been able to take my eyes off of my ring since Andy gave it to me. We were watching Batman when the bus suddenly jolted to a stop. I fell off of Andy's lap, we all laughed.
"You aren't almost running over anymore people are you Cal?" I asked laughing.
"No." he replied laughing, "I don't know what happened exactly."
"Pop the hood. I was going to be a mechanic once i graduated, I may be able to help." All the guys looked at me surpised,
"What? you a mechanic?" Andy said surprised, I just ignored their stupidity.

I went to the front of the bus and looked for the problem.
"Ah see, right here. One of the battery bolts came loose. I just need a wrench and we will be good to go." i held out my hand, "Seriously, you guys don't have one?"
"Nope sorry." Jinxx said.
"Ugh. Hey maybe those people at that house have one." i pointed up the hill to a small home.
"Let's go see." Andy said as he grabbed my hand and We walked up the house and Jinxx knocked on the door. When he did it opened a little and we walked in.
"Hello? Anyone home?" CC asked, there was no reply, he groped for a light switch and turned it on. Andy squeezed my hand as the lights flickered on, and we could see that the house has been deserted for sometime, the couch had all kinds of rips in it, even some of the springs were poking out. There was what looked like a smashed T.V set, then a few cut up side tables. We kept walking and ended up in the kitchen. There was a horrible smell, and when Jake's fat ass opened the fridge, it grew even stronger.

"That is fucking gross." Jake said as he pulled out, what I think was a hot dog, but it was covered in so much mold you couldn't even tell. The table's legs had tape wrapped around them, then most of the chairs had broken legs.
We walked up the stairs one at a time, because we weren't sure how much weight they could hold. We decided to split up and search the house, of course Andy and I were together.
I walked into a bedroom, it was gross the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, it looked like it was suppose to be pink with purple flowers. There was a twin sized bed in the corner. It was made perfectly, but it was all dusty, there was a baby doll laying on the bed. There were several other toys scattered on the ground.

"This must have been the daughter's room." I said mostly to myself.
"Yeah, but who ever left, left here years ago."
He came up behind me and hugged me, "When we have kids, our little girl's room will look just like this."
"Oh so you're hoping we have a girl?"
"No I want one boy, and one girl, the boy being older of course. We would be the perfect American family." He sat down on the bed and it creaked under him.
"So you have our whole life mapped out, hey?"
"Yes I do." He pulled me closer and I sat on his lap.
"Can't you picture it now? Our children playing outside together and us watching them with loving eyes."
"Yes of course, I can, but you have to marry me before that happenes." I said as I hopped up and went to the girl's dresser.
"Of course." He got up and hugged me from behind again.

I looked through the girl's drawers, when I noticed a box on the top of the dresser. I opened it, it was empty except for a perfectly polished necklace. It was a silver wing with a circle next to it that said Angel.
"Look at it, it's beautiful." I said as I held it up.
"Wow it looks brand new!"
"You had something to do with this didn't you?" Thinking it'd be a cute way give it to me"
"Well, no I didn't plan this at all. I don't know why it looks brand new." Suddenly, it was snatched out of my hand.
"Hey!" I shouted.
"Sorry, but the others agreed to having an auction on all the valuble things. This will be part of it." Jinxx replied
"How is that fair? I found it first." I whined
"Because the rest of us might want it." Jinxx said calmly.
"I still don't find it fair." I whined again.
"No whinning is allowed here." Andy said as he picked me up.
"Wait how would I buy it. I gots no moneys" I relizied.
"Me, you idiot." Andy replied with a laugh.
"Fine, let's just get this done with."

We started to walk back to the stairs, where all the others were waiting at the bottom. Jinxx went down first, then Andy, but as he went down it started to crack.
We didn't think any thing of it so I started to come down, but then the steps in front of me started to cave in.
They eventually fell and then the ones behind me started to cave in as well so I ran back up the stairs. Andy came right below me and held out his hands.
"Jump, I'll catch you I promise."
"Are you crazy?!" I exclaimed.
"It looks like the only way Mis" CC said. As he did I felt the floor under me started to bend, The upper floor was starting to collapse. It looks like I don't have much a choice.
