Alright so mainly my story starts off as a African-American child who grew up in the average home where my struggling mother is single and my father doesn't give a damn about me. Well at first he kind of did but a whole bunch of conflicts happened which lead up to him not caring anymore. Oh sorry for not introducing myself, my name is Avery Park and I'm currently 17 years old.
I know you're probably wondering how could a 17 year old go through so much in life when she didn't even reach the age to be legal. Well in this world many of "kids" experience adulthood thing which they shouldn't go through but, I guess that's how life work nowadays.
~January 26, 2002~ 7:20 p.m.
"Come on Ms. Hampton one more".
As my mom does her final push I'm welcomed into this fucked up world at 7:20 p.m.
"It's a girl", says my mother's doctor.
After the doctors cleaned me up and made sure everything was alright with my vitals, they handed me to my dad. As everyone find out the news that I was born people start to come to the hospital to visit my mother and I.After awhile things start to die down, my dad gets tired and leave my mom and I at the hospital by ourselves on the night I was born. Kind of sucks because even though it was 2002 and the hospital wasn't as equipped as it is now in 2020 but, they had chairs in the hospital rooms. He could've at least gotten comfortable and stayed to the hospital with us but nah he was "tired".
Now that I have come home my mother starts to get sick and her body is fighting itself due to the hospital not keeping her in there longer. Her blood pressure is very high to the point where she could die. Meanwhile I'm just a newborn baby that has no idea what's going on.
So my mother goes to the hospital, they stabilized her where she's able to just take medicine, and her health would be fine.
Time goes by and I start to get sick which causes my mother more trouble in having me to go back and forth to the hospital. It was very frustrating because my dad didn't try to pinch in and help her at all because he in his words "I make more money so I'm the one that shouldn't stay home with her". It shouldn't be an excuse to not stay home with your baby who is constantly sick, I mean at least try to take turns in who stays home but, whatever I guess.
I start to get better overtime and my 1st birthday comes along. My family throws a big birthday party and everything seems great. However that's when everything slowly goes downhill.
