Hey y'all! The seating plan for the classroom this chapter takes place in is up above so click on it if there's any confusion :) I didn't need to make it it probably wasn't necessary but I felt like it. The blue are windows, grey is the blackboard, brown is the door. That's all! Enjoy :)

I kicked my feet up onto my desk and leaned back on my chair. I looked out of the window of our small, second story high school classroom at the clouds, a blank look on my face. It was almost too bright outside. I squinted at the sun. We weren't learning anything, the teacher wasn't teaching a lesson, just rambling on about something or other. She tends to ramble a lot, I've noticed.
"Hey Fuyuhiko"
I pursued my lips, lost in thought.
"Fuyuhiko!"
Someone was calling my name. I jumped, startled out of my thoughts.
"Jeez, finally! I thought you'd died or something!" Kazuichi Soda, the boy on my right, grinned at me with his usual annoying smile.
"Shut up. What do you want?" I sighed dramatically. I really can't stand my classmates. Well, most of them at least. There is an exception, the girl on my left.
"Calm down dude, I just wanted to know your thoughts on this school trip we're supposed to be taking." Kazuichi lifted just hand to block out the glare of the sun as he spoke.
"What? What school trip?" I removed my feet from my desk and sat upright.
"What? You kidding? Miss Usami has been talking about this trip for the past half hour!" He pointed to the front of the class where our teacher, Miss Usami, was chatting away, writing down lists and various small maps on the blackboard.
"We're you not listening at all? We're going to this 'Camp Dangan' place in the middle of nowhere." Kazuichi stared at me in shock. I couldn't help but feel embarrassed.
"Yeah, whatever." I turned away so he wouldn't see the expression on my face. "I think it's gonna be boring, just like everything else we gotta fucking do here." There. That was better. That's that tough facade I like to put on.
Kazuichi sighed, giving up, and turned back to the front of the class. I decided it was probably a good idea to start listening to Miss Usami.
"I can see the looks on some of your faces right now, and I know you're worried, but this is going to be a super fun school trip with your friends, and me! Your teacher!" Miss Usami sounded far too enthusiastic for my liking.
Kazuichi shot his hand into the air, a sly, eager look on his face. "Miss? What are the sleeping arrangements gonna be like?" He asked, staring hard at the back of Sonia Nevermind's head. I rolled my eyes. He just wanted to room with her so he could make a move.
"Yeah." Another voice piped up from two rows in front of me. "What are the sleeping arrangements gonna be like?" Teruteru sounded excited as he spoke.
"Oh! Girls in one cabin and guys in another, of course!" Miss Usami beamed at us and I heard the two boys sighing in defeat.
"Yes! This is perfect! A girls cabin! We're going to have so much fun!" Sonia smiled and looked around at her peers.
"Man, I wish I was in the girls cabin." Kazuichi sulked.
"You'd have to be a girl for that." I said, exasperated.
"What, so like a lesbian? If I still liked Miss Sonia?" Kazuichi started at me with wide eyes.
"Nothing wrong with being lesbian! Or gay, for that matter." Nagito turned around from the desk in front of me and added in, smiling.
"Hey, you calling me gay?" Kazuichi piped up and glared at Nagito.
I closed my eyes and rubbed my temples, trying to block out the rising argument between the two. These damn kids were too much for me! I opened my eyes after feeling a tap on my left shoulder and turned. It was Peko, my girl on the left. I mean- the girl on my left.
"Young master, are you alright?" She whispered to me.
"I told you not to call me that in public." I grumbled and crossed my arms, looking away. Before I turned, I saw a hurt look flash in her eyes, and I immediately felt bad. "And... I'm fine. It's nothing." I looked back at her and added.
I felt awful for making her feel hurt, but I just get so mad! Why can't she see? Why can't she see that I hate it when she calls me that! It makes me feel like she's nothing more than a tool. That's what she says she is anyways, but I hate it! Even though my family practically gifted her to me as a soldier when we were kids, I really don't like our "professional relationship" or whatever the fuck my dad wants to call it. I wish she'd just let me treat her like a human being, instead of a sword or a shield only when I need one.
Peko nodded dutifully at my response and faced the blackboard once more. I looked at her a moment more, not realizing the argument that had been surrounding me had suddenly stopped.
"Ooooohh~" a voice cooed from beside me. I whipped around, flustered. Kazuichi was making these obnoxious kissing noises and pursing his lips in a dumb looking kiss face. Nagito was laughing. I felt my face heating up.
"Shut the hell up, bastards! You're not being funny!" I stood up out of my seat immediately, relishing the fact that I could tower over then when they were seated. They immediately stopped making noise at my anger. My satisfaction, however, was short lived.
"Mister Kuzuryuu! That is not language we use in this fun learning environment! I'm disappointed in you." Miss Usami said sternly. I rolled my eyes and sat back down in my seat. I shot a glance over at Peko to see how much of the interaction she had caught. Lucky for me, she looked preoccupied pretending to be interested in what Ibuki was talking to her about from the desk in front of her. I sighed in relief, shooting one final glare at Kazuichi and Nagito.
God, this class is a nightmare.

PLEASE READ!This fic is gonna be a slow burn. The main focus of the plot isn't actually Fuyupeko, but it's from Fuyuhikos perspective and he obviously likes Peko lmao. There will also be other ships in this. If slow burns aren't really your thing and you'd rather read something fast paced, than my fanfics just might not be for you. Sorry!
Thanks, lots of love!
