The next morning, we were woken up at 7pm sharp by another of Monokuma's announcements.

I woke up and rubbed my eyes. I was still so tired. The rest of the cabin was slowly waking up around me.

"Morning..." Kazuichi groaned.

We all got ready for the day. I still refused to change in front of the rest of them, but no one made comments about it this time. Good.

"So... should we all head over to the lodge again for breakfast?" Hajime asked.

Byakuya nodded. "We should make the deal that every morning, we head straight to the lodge. Girls too."

"Alright, I'll go tell them." Nagito offered. Before anyone could object, he was out of the door. The rest of us went to the lodge to wait for the girls.

Miss Usami was already waiting for us when we opened the doors. She was looking at all of the food that was put out, which was different from the night before. There was no one else in the lodge.

"I wonder who cooks all of this stuff... actually, now that I think of it, who does everything around here? I haven't seen any staff members other than Monokuma, and there's no way it's only him." Kazuichi looked puzzled.

He was right, actually. It was strange. That's when Miss Usami noticed us.

"Oh! Good morning students! I hope everyone had a wonderful evening last night! I'm going to be here every morning to greet you, just so you know!" She beamed at us. The girls and Nagito came streaming through the doors. We all sat down and ate.

"Hey! Peko!" I called her over. She turned and stood in front of me. She really was quite pretty... her eyes were so striking, and her skin was so smooth.

"Ah! Uh- come sit with me. Since... yesterday I sat with your friends." I stumbled over my words.

"I would not call them friends. A tool should not have friends." She responded flatly. "However, yes. I will sit with you, if that is what you desire."

For some reason, I almost started crying right there in front of her. It honestly felt like talking to a robot. I didn't want that. I can barely deal with this.

I gulped to force down the lump in my throat. "Thank you, Peko. I appreciate it" I said, hoping to get some sort of emotional reaction from her. I felt my heart stretch and soar when she smiled softly at me. A real, gentle smile. She smiled. She smiled! She smiled at me. I felt like fainting.

"Of course." She said, keeping the smile on her face. We got food and went to sit down at a table with Gundham, Sonia, And Nekomaru. Kazuichi saw me sit down and walked over.

"Thanks man, I really wanted an excuse to sit at the same table as Miss Sonia." He whispered to me as he sat down. I rolled my eyes. Of course.

Peko sat down on my other side. We ate. I wasn't really paying attention to the conversation. That was, until I heard Sonia's dainty laugh ring through the air.

"Oh, Gundham, you are hilarious!" She placed a hand on his shoulder as she laughed. Gundham smiled victoriously. Kazuichi, on the other hand, had a fist clenched and was red in the face.

I almost laughed. "Kazuichi. Chill out man." I looked at him. He turned to me and frowned.

"He's so stupid. Why does she think he's so funny?" He whispered to me.

I shrugged. "I dunno, but don't forget, you still have to do your dare at some point during the trip."

In a split second, the colour drained from Kazuichi's face. That's when I started laughing.

"How did you find out about that?!" he panicked.

"Nagito told me." I said. He whined.

"Of course he did. I hate you guys..."

"You act like I care." With a final scoff, I finished my food and stood up.

"Wait! I'm coming with you." Kazuichi forced down his breakfast and shot over next to me. I rolled my eyes. He was like a lost puppy. We left the lodge

"What are we supposed to do here all day?" Kazuichi looked around.

"Good question... Monokuma never told us anything about a day schedule." I paused. "Monokuma!" My voice echoed through the otherwise silent forest.

"What- what are you doing?" Kazuichi started at my sudden shout.

I shrugged. "I don't know, calling for him?" I looked around. "Guess it didn't work."

As soon as we started to move, we heard a voice from behind us.

"Looking for me?" We shot around, it was Monokuma, grinning widely.

"Don't do that!" Kazuichi shrieked, obviously scared.

"Shut up. We just want to know what we're supposed to do around here all day." I shoved my hands in my pockets.

Monokuma's eyes twinkled, but in a cold, harsh way. "Oh don't worry, do what you'd like for now, but thinks are going to get very interesting very soon." And with that, he was off. He walked away and didn't turn around when we called his name.

-

"Fuyuhiko! Wake up!"

"You slept through the Monokuma announcement, stupid."

"Guys, guys! Let him wake up peacefully, you can't stay positive during the day if your morning routine is ruined."

I blinked my eyes open slowly, the blurred silhouettes in front of me slowly coming into focus. Hajime, Kazuichi and Nagito.

"Jeez, finally you're awake. We thought you died or something!" Kazuichi laughed, but it was a forced laugh. He looked... pale. As a matter of fact, everyone in the cabin looked uneasy. I was about to ask why when it struck me like a strong odour. There was something wrong. Nobody knew what, but something bad had definitely happened.

The feeling was so strong I felt like throwing up. I clutched my stomach and sat up in my bunk.

"So you feel it too?" Hajime looked worried. He looked how I felt.

I nodded and climbed down. I quickly grabbed my things and changed before sitting down on Kazuichi's bed to talk about what we should do.

"This is strange, truly. Even my dark devas are acting distraught." Gundham peeked into his scarf, presumably checking on his hamsters.

The only one who seemed completely unaffected was Nekomaru.

"When you play sports, you get used to this! Especially as a manager! When a team loses a game, the air always reeks of disappointment and loss. Everybody is unhappy. But you gotta keep pushing! Keep pushing like that bad mood is a tough shit you gotta get out! I believe in you!" Nekomaru flexed to emphasize his words.

We all stayed silent for a moment following his monologue. When the conversation picked back up, we didn't acknowledge it at all, not even knowing what to say.

"We should check what's happening, don't you think? The girls might be feeling weird too." Teruteru mentioned.

"No. We should go straight to the lodge and wait for the girls like we agreed to yesterday." Byakuya sounded like he didn't want anyone to argue, so we all agreed with him and walked over to the lodge. The girls were already there, but there was someone who wasn't. Someone who was supposed to be there waiting for us everyday, just like she said she would.

"Hey, where's Miss Usami?"
