When Kion got back to the tree of life he was nervous he didn't even make eye contact with anyone he just looked at the ground not letting anyone see his face. When Rani got home she asked Kion how his day was but he didn't respond she thought he was just tired and said okay and went to bed.
For the next few weeks however Kion got worse and worse when he wouldn't come out of the tree of life anymore. One day Chuluun was walking by when she saw everyone she asked how everyone was doing and they said not great she asked why not and they replied that Kion hasn't been coming outside the Tree of Life lately.
She than said let me go talk to him. She goes inside and sees Kion, but when she approaches him he roars at her and says that this is all her fault she asks what did I do and he said you kissed me and now I feel like I betrayed Rani, little did he know that Rani was listening to the whole thing.
