Chapter 16

KAI POV

A week after Aviana went missing was the worse. I drove everywhere looking for her. I kept checking her social media accounts, bank accounts and even last active activity's through her messengers. Looking for a post, shared or transaction. But nothing came up. I was losing my mind without the love of my life.

Everyone says love hurts, but to me its being without my love. Not having her in my arms or in my bed. I lay in my bed staring at the other side of my bed, its so cold without her. It is lonely. I miss our conversations. I miss how we use to talk every minute and everynight of every day. I miss how I was able to tell he everyhing that was on my mind. She was my diary.

Walking into work the next day was painful because my mind wasnt into work. It was exhausted, I couldnt think. Im sitting at my desk in my office with my elbows on the desk and my face in my hands. I feel a hand on my shoulder and look up to see Ethan with a concern look on his face.

"Hey man, Are you okay?" He asked. I shook my head.

"Its okay man, we will find her." He has tried to be there for me and help as much as he can and I cant imagine a friend like him. He will bend his back just like I will with him. 

"Im just losing my mind Ethan. She has been gone for a week, yet I cant find her anywhere. She just disappeared." I said.

"I know man but we wont stop until we find her. Just think about once you find her, you wont let her go. And whats even more crazier is that I know you love her. As long as we have been friends, I have never seen you so much in love and because I know how much you love her, we wont stop until we find her. We will keep looking until there is not other way and we will still try and search for a way. We wont give up on her. But what you need to do is go home for a few days and sleep. You look a mess and dont worry about my dad, ill talk to him." Ethan said with deep worried in his eyes.

"Thanks man." With that, I walk out the door and head home. He was right, I needed to sleep but what was bad was the fact that those few days turned into weeks and the next thng I know a month have passed and she was still missing.

I started losing hope. Ethan was around more and one day Ashley came over. I hear a knock on the door and I open it.

"Hey, is Ethan here?" She asks.

"Yeah, come on in." I said, stepping back to open the door more so she can walk in. Once she was in, I closed the door and turned to her.

"You okay ash? How you been?" I said with a sad smile on my face. She looks worse than me. She had on Plaid blue and black pajamas pants with a black tank top and head wrap with her hair tied in a messy bun. She had dark circles under her eyes and her eyes look red and swollen. I knew she was missing Aviana but I didnt know she was missing her this much. 

"I miss her." Thats all she said. She brung her hands to her face and started crying. Ethan came out the kitchen and seen Ashley and quickly ran to her and wrapped his arms around her waist and brung her into him. I stood there looking at them and it made me hurt because thats all I want to do. I want Aviana home so I can wrap my arms around her. 

"Ill give yall a minute." I said, about to walk off until Ashley says. "I think I know what happen to Aviana." I froze in my spot and slowly turned around staring at her with my mouth open  in a unbelieveable expression. 

"What do you mean you think you know what happen to Aviana, Ashley." I said in a whisper tone. But I know she heard me because she said "I actually feel like I truly know what happen to her."

"What do you mean?!" I say through gritted teeth.

"Lets sit down and ill tell you what happened." She said pulling Ethan hand to the couch. Once seated she turns and looks at me, "Please sit Kai. You are going to want to hear this too. With that, I take the single chair right infront of them. Ethan sitting next to Ashley with his hands in hers, rubbing his thumb over the back of her hands.
