It's 11:27, and the house has been empty since I woke up. I feel really drowsy like a I overdosed on sweet melatonin. After sliding on my slippers I run down the steps at top speed and jump down the last few. Im really hungry so I decide to make something quick and sweet: toaster strudels and sausages. I pop the pastry in the microwave and admire the yummy smell wavering over me.
°°°°°°°° "Hey mommy, stop that!"
My mom pops a piece of my strawberry and cream strudel in her mouth
"Hey kid! I made it so I get unlimited parts"
"But you have that one!" I grab hers
"Yeah but sharing is nice, okay baby?"
I nod my head as I take a bite out of her blueberry apple flavored one
"Mmm.. Yours is yummy!" I shove the strudel in her mouth
"Hey!" She says in between chews, she pulls me close and hugs me goofily
I laugh and kiss her on the her cheek, the stringy filling clinging onto her face afterwards.
"You're my bestfriend, mommy, I love you!"
"I love you too, Jazzy."

I wipe the burning salty tears before they threaten to fall anymore and open the microwave door. I sit at the table to eat.
All I can think about is my mother! I slowly polish off the food and silently sob to myself. Why did she have to leave me? I didn't do anything...

I pick up my phone and see a message from Cleo:
"Hey Jas, I'm sorry we left you home alone. Jahseh should be there shortly to get you, get dressed.🐣

I go into the dresser in my room and piece together an outfit. I finally decide on a pink and black cut up crop top, some black high waisted shorts, and a oversized denim jacket.
