Welcome back, everyone! So this is it. The beginning of Death's Princess. Already I'm going to be showing off some old characters I've certainly missed writing about. Soon we'll be seeing some new characters as well. I definitely look forward to this. Luk and Will will both be fairly important characters in this one, I've decided. And of course, so will the brothers, Vali, Nari, Fenrir and Sleipnir.

Also, William has taken a challenge from myself. He'll be explaining the challenge now:

Will: Okay! Is this thing on...? It is.. Okay, cool. So, Hel's taken a notice to the fact that I always seem to have a song for every circumstance. That's why she has challenged me to find a song from my iPod to accompany every chapter. She doesn't think I can do it. I say, screw that. I can totally do this. But I might need some help along the way. I've already picked this one, because I'm a boss. I chose the theme music to Friends (don't ask me why it's on my iPod... that stuff is classic.) for this chapter for reasons you'll figure out fairly soon. Next chapter I'll either post a song, or I'll ask for some help. I don't know, I haven't gotten to read it yet. So until then, everyone start flipping through your iPods and etc. 'cause I'm probably going to need some help with this. That is all. Return to your lives.

Right, thank you William. Now that I've explained that, my only other announcement is that after a lot of consideration I decided to discontinue Loki's Warrior. I wrote the first chapter as a spur of the moment thing, and then after a while I realized that sort of writing just wasn't my style and I decided it was awful. My apologies to anyone who enjoyed it.

Now, I won't bore you with anymore chatting. I hope you all enjoy this first chapter, and welcome back, everyone. It's good to finally get back to work on this trilogy.

Hela wasn't entirely sure why she liked William's house so much. It could have been the aroma of cinnamon apple candles and the warm firelight that always lit up the halls. Perhaps it was the small, coziness of the halls and rooms. It might have simply been the contrast of the cold, silver S.H.I.E.L.D. hallways to this little household. The little home was always so cheerful, it was impossible to not feel comfortable.

The living room was dark, apart from the constant flashing of the television. The two preteens sitting on opposite sides of the couch were lying lazily, every now and then pushing a foot against the other's. One was a twelve year old girl, the other a thirteen year old boy.

Hela yawned and stretched her legs out further, bumping her feet against Will's. "Will, change the channel." She rubbed her eyes and curled into the blankets that covered them both.

The boy nodded and did as he was asked, and the faces of a familiar show appeared. Will had changed it to Friends.

"What time is it?" he asked sleepily, pulling one hand behind his head.

Hela picked up the analog clock on the side table and squinted at the blue numbers. "Almost 2 o'clock," she replied. She giggled at the tired groan that came from Will. "Tired?"

"Not a chance," he replied, "You?"

Hela snorted. "Nope."

The two focused their attention on Friends for a few minutes. Will's mother and little sister had went to bed hours ago. They were the only ones awake. "So, think there's a chance Ms. Willis will postpone that history test?" Will asked after a moment.

"Not a chance," Hela replied with a yawn. Her eyes travelled to William and she looked the boy over. She smiled. He wore a plain red T-shirt and baggy shorts. William had never been shy or bashful around Hela. He had hair that was almost shoulder length and dark green. "I like your hair," she commented. "That done last week?"
