Lost

Prologue

                     It should have been so easy, she was right there. How could he have been caught. Sam was positioned right there, he should have taken the shot... All he needed to do was take her out, then he would be free. Three years of working with them, and he failed the one important job. Sam was a part of a street gang that had a major rivalry. He did not want to be, however his older brother had gotten him involved. He was to aid them for three years, then he could retire. It was to be his last job, kill Emily Ross. She had been the one to murder his brother and so many others. Yet still, when Sam was in line to take the shot, he could not. Now he was on death row. As his group pinned all of the gang's crimes on him. Three days, that was all he had left to live. He needed to make them count. He told his parents he loved them, and prepared for the worst.

                 Six more hours, that was all that was left. Sam was shaking. Why did this all happen to him? Just them, he heard a voice from outside the bleak cell they were keeping him in. "Samuel Grayson, you are being transported to a new... containment area. I cannot tell you the exact details of where you will be staying, however, you are no longer on death row.". This statement was to change Sam's life forever. He was no longer on death row! This was a major improvement! Sam was excited, but also confused. Why was he suddenly getting transferred, and why could he not be told any details about the place he was staying. Whatever the reason was, Sam was glad. Sam though about how lucky he was, however, soon, he would see that death could be far better than the horrors that await him.
