-For my dearest love, Shelby.

I am not what you think,

I won't comfort you with a lie,

I am just a simple person,

on the verge of wrong and right.

I am not an angel,

Nor a saint to praise,

I have made my many sins,

That I wish to wash away.

I have had my heart broken,

Shattered, piece by piece.

But I've stitched it back together,

hoping the pain will cease.

I am not what you think,

I won't comfort you with my lies,

But you have changed my path in life,

with the sparkle in your eyes.

Your heart, too, has been broken.

Your wrists, sliced by a shard.

You have given me a purpose,

For now, you, I will guard.

I will love you forever,

Till my heart stops to beat,

To the last breath of my lungs,

To the last words I shall speak.

You are the one to give me strength,

The armour of my soul.

You are the stitches of my heart,

To keep it one and whole.

I will be now what you need,

I will comfort you when it's tough.

Though I am a simple person,

I am lucky to have your love. <3
