I still don't remember much about this part of my life. But I will do my best.

The first memory I have of that place was an interrogation room. The place only had a desk and a chair, but otherwise was covered in rocks of all sizes.

I was alone. I didn't want to touch the desk and chair. Don't know why. Just couldn't do it no matter how much I wanted to. The voices stopped me. The voices are a pain in the ass. They always curse and piss each other off over the tiniest shit the other one said. I would find it hilarious if it didn't give me a migraine from listening to the arguments and pissing contests.

I got bored and explored the room, tried to find a weapon. The only thing I could find was a shard of stone about 5 inches long. It wasn't very sharp, so I dragged it against the ground on either side to sharpen it.

I slide back down in the corner and spin the knife between my clawed fingers.

After what seems like a few days, a man bursts through the door. He has black hair with red tips, dark almost black eyes, and a sinister smirk spread across his face.

"Sorry for the wait. One of the others was giving me a hard time." He says, walking up to the chair at the table.

"Why don't you sit down? Get off the cold, hard floor?" The man asks.

I think for a second before turning toward him with a smirk of my own. "I have a feeling you know why."

He smiles at this, his smile just as sinister as his smirk. He nods with a touch of sass and sits down in the chair.

"Do you 'have a feeling' for why I'm here?" He asks.

"No fuckin' clue."

"I'm here to introduce myself and tell you who you are." At that, I turned to him, intrigued.

"I'm Zackery, you're creator. You're the third point of the Pentagram. You're also the brains of this operation." Zackery explains. "There are three more of your comrades at the moment: HABIT, Cordelia, and the third has yet to choose her name. HABIT is the most important, Cordelia is the seductress. And the third is the strongest."

"Hold the fuck up. What do you mean creator? Why do I have comrades? Why am I the smartest? And what the hell are those names?" I ask a little too fast for him to process immediately.

"That is why you're the smartest. So far, no one's asked any questions. Or at least not as many as you." He says matter-of-factly. "I'm you're creator because I summoned you and your comrades. You're all demons. The Pentagram is a group that needs every one of its points to work together, you're part of it. And those names were chosen by the other points I've seen."

I nod. "Does that mean I get to choose mine?"

"Naturally."

I think for a moment. "RUBIX. I'll be RUBIX."

"RUBIX?...Okay. You're choice, not mine." Zackery mumbles.

I look up offended. "What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing. Now do you want out of this place or not?" He asks, clearly tired of my attitude and questions.

"Not with you, no." I answer immediately.

He sighs. "Fine. You might want to keep that knife with you. If you don't, then your next visitor is sure to kill you."

With that, he sets something on the table and leaves, locking the door.

I hastily get up and see what he left, legs creaking at the sudden movement.

On the table is a simple mirror with a note: If you're not going to follow me to a nicer room, you might as well get a look at yourself.

I pick up the mirror and look at my reflection. I have deep crimson fur that covers me from the neck down. My head is the shape and material of a deer skull, antlers bursting out like branches. Glowing crimson eyes stare back at me from the black eye holes in the skull. Rows of razor sharp fangs drop down from the mandible and maxillary. A fox tail hangs on my backside like a normal animal, the tip dipped in white.

I throw the mirror against the wall, shattering on impact.

I walk back to my corner and go back to twirling the makeshift knife.

The sound of the door unlocking drags me out of my haze. I hide the knife and stare at the wall in front of me.

My visitor crosses my line of sight. Another demon from the looks of it.

This'll be fun.
