6:30 A.M.

What am I wearing for orientation today?, Brianna thought.

7:00 A.M

I finally chose a gold shirt with black pants and a new pair of black sneaker wedges I got from ShoeDazzle.

Little boy, bring your tail out here! It's time to go! You got 5 seconds! 1...2...3...4... Don't make me get to 5! I said to my 2-year-old, Devon.

Coming, mommy! Devon answered coming out his bedroom wearing his new blue and white Perry Ellis outfit with khaki pants and black sneakers.

My boy is so handsome, I thought. I'm just glad me and his father Lamont are getting along now.

You ready to go to daddy's house? You got your bookbag? I asked.

Yes, mommy. I'm ready. He responded.

I have 40 minutes to get to work. Thank goodness his father is 5 minutes away. Once I buckled Devon in his car seat we were on the road.

5 Minutes Later

Lamont was standing on the porch smoking his cigarette since he doesn't smoke in the house. He walked over to the car after putting his cigarette out. He unbuckled our son and picked up the whole carseat while I picked up his bookbag.

Hey dad, Devon said.

Good morning youngin', Lamont replied.

Mommy loves you and I'll see you later okay baby? I said to our son about to turn and leave.

Mom you forgot your kisses before work. He said running over to give me a hug and kiss.

These are the moments I live for. I love being a mom. Time to get to work.
