Heaven placed her fully charged laptop into her messenger bag, grabbed her awesome beat earphones and made her way to the local coffee shop. She goes there quite often, when she is feeling not herself. This way she can eat or drink some very good things while she writes some of her very own book and listens to her favourite music.
She does have her own car, but decides against it since the coffee shop is close and it is a beautiful day out for the end of October in Canada.
She listens to music on her phone as she walks there, slightly singing along and sometimes doing a little dance move here and there when she thinks she knows that no one is watching her. Even though the entire way there just happens to be a guy on the other side of the street watching her, with an amused look and a half smirk on his face by what she is doing.
He watches her as she walks into the coffee shop, and decides to follow and maybe start a conversation with the beautiful woman as least stalker-like that sounds as possible.
Heaven walks up to the counter and just hands the cashier the correct amount of money. She comes her so often that the know the exact thing she is going to order. She then walks over to a booth at the back store. A friend of hers- Starla -brings her coffee over. They exchange a couple of words, then Starla has to get back to work; giving the same man, who was looking at her earlier, the chance to walk up with his newly bought coffee.
Just as Heaven takes out and opens her laptop, mystery man, sits down and takes a bite of his muffin, and a sip of his drink. She gives him a confused look and he just flashes a smile back.
"Um, not to be rude or anything, but, um, why are you sitting with me?" Heaven asks fully confused and without a hint of harshness or attitude in the words.
"Oh how rude of me. I apologize, for my name is Leo The Great; and I am here to assist you in having a cup of coffee, madam." Leo explains in a very over exaggerated, posh accent. Heaven bursts into a fit of laughter. "I would love to share this opportunity to meet such an interesting person you seem to be." Heaven replies. For the next few hours the two talked and enjoyed each other's comapny; never running out of ideas to talk about.
Leo sighs sadly, while looking at his watch. "I should be getting home now, can't keep the dog waiting. But before I leave can I get your phone number?" He asks slightly nervous, pulling out his phone. " 'Caurse you can." Heaven type it in after entering her full name, and concluding the entry with a selfie. She slides her phone over after putting in the password with his own phone. He goes to the contact app and places in his own personal info, also taking a selfie afterwards.
He gets up and says, "I'll call you soon,"
"I'll be waiting." She tells him. He gives her one more heart melting smile and walks through the door, only to turn back and give her a wink. Once he is out of sight, she releases the breathe she didn't realize she was holding. She looked down at her laptop that she had long forgotten about using once she had started to talk with Leo-
BEEP... BEEP.... BEEP...
I look up from my computer screen and find the source of the annoying sound. I find my phone over on my bed a couple feet away from my desk. The screen reads 7:20 AM.
'But that couldn't be right, I had only started to write around 1:00 AM. I couldn't have been doing this all night.' I think to myself. I walk over to my window and throwing open the curtains. For a moment all I see is a blinding light, before averting my eyes and swiftly closing them tight. I blink a couple hundred times before my eyes finally get use to the now-not-so-harsh sun light. Indeed it is morning. I check my phone again wondering why I have my alarm set for so early since school doesn't start for another week. Then it hits me like a bus.
'Work!" I mentally screem at myself for not getting any sleep before my 8 hour shift at the book store I work at. I rush over to my closet, and throw open the door, flinching upon hearing a tremendously loud bang.
I pull on a pair of black shorts and dark purple tank top that had an open back making me wear one of those back-less bras. I quickly pull on a pair of dark purple vans into my feet and grab my backpack that, thankfully, I had packed the night before. I run past a mirror and quickly look take a look of myself inside.
In the mirror I see a girl with devilish black hair, that's everywhere, with an ugly colour of pale purple-y/blue eyes that have dark circles underneath. I sign, quickly going over to my bathroom to brush my hair and teeth. I place my black beanie ontop of my mess I call hair and grab my make-up bag throwing it into the backpack as well, to do when I get a break. I run over to my window and toss out my skateboard before climbing out. I pull the window closed behind myself and climb down the side of the house. I run, grab the skatebaord and, without tripping, place it under my feet to skate to work.
My skate board is black with silver skulls and dark blue lyric sentences. If you didn't know my favourite colours before, you sure do now.
If you are thinking 'Why don't you just drive to work, in a car that a normal almost-18-year old would have?' The answer is because I don't have one. I would rather safe up all my money on things I actually need. And saving up money so I can move away from this hell whole, next year when I go to university.
I check my phone for the time. 7:54. I quicken my pace and soon see the fimilair building that I start to close in on. I run through the door with one minute to spare. My co-worker, Twyla, sees me and just rolls her eyes at me. She- along the rest of the world- hates me. I don't understand it. They just do. I walk over to the storage room and quickly sign in. I look over to a bunch of boxes of our newest shipment, knowing that I would be setting up some new books. I pull out the sheet to see where in the store the books need to be placed.
I walk out of the room, box in one hand and the sheet in the other. I read over the places and head for the front of the store where I will place half of the box and then place the rest in the corrent place in the store, on the shelves. I walk with my head down, hoping that know one is in front of me. I walk with my head down only because I know this store like the back of my hand, since I have been coming since I was like 5-ish, just to get away from my 'family'.
My hope, like always, disappears as I soon fall to the ground, seeing a foot trippng me on the way down. The box and books go everywhere. The corner of one of the books hits the same spot as one as one of my healing briuses. I let out a harsh hissing-like sound as I try to get back up, but a foot pushes on my back causing me to stay in my place on the ground. I lay flat on my stomach as I hear laughter come from above me. I quickly kick my leg up in the air as hard as I can. Thank god it hits someome or that would have been even more embarrassing for me. By the painfilled intake of breath, I am guessing I hit a guy in the jewels. Awesome.
The foot removes itself from my back and get move into my back to see who tripped me.
Luke. The most 'popular' guy at school. I was right, seeing that he was slightly leaning up against a goon of his, Steve, and holding down there.
"You did that to yourself just saying." I say to him as I get closer to the ground to pick up the books and place them back in the box.
"Whatever," He says and quickly goes to over to Twyla seeing as they are dating. Or what I like to call it their current toys, as they both move on after a week or two.
After picking up all the boxes, I walk over to the table to display them and start pilling them in a designed-filled way.
By the time I am done placing the books in there spots, and doing that same with about three or four other boxes, it was around 11:45AM; so I decided to take an early lunch. I walk into the back rooms to find an empty one, so I could lock the door and sleep for the hour and a half.
And that's exactly what I did.
