Saturday afternoon, Jimin decided he had had enough of the same scenery of his room. It had become like a cell in his eyes, spending all of his alone time in there, with the shades down and the door locked.
This mood hit every so often, and the only solution was to just get out of the house. He didn't have to do anything, per se, but he needed to be alone, and to be away from enclosing walls.
Thus, he found himself wandering the city park twenty minutes later, taking in the scenery of the turning trees. They were just beginning to change color, leaving a spotted effect in the foliage with various shades of yellows, oranges, and greens. Birds chirped in the branches, fluttering away if anyone wandered too close. A few times, a squirrel boldly leaped across his path.
He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. He could feel that the air had cooled down significantly from the time school had started. Nearing the end of September now, the temperature was gradually falling - by now just comfortable to walk around in a T-shirt without sweating or shivering.
This was Jimin's favorite time of the year.
Nearing his birthday, the beauty of the autumn foliage, the cooler temperatures that weren't too cold, and apple pies.
Apple pies were the best.
Jimin's eyes were still closed as he walked along - there weren't many people on this path anyways - but that soon proved to be a very, very bad decision.
His foot hit an unseen bump in the pavement, and before he knew it, or could correct himself, he tripped, falling forward, instinctively stretching his arms out to catch himself.
He hit the ground hard, his hands skidding against the asphalt and ripping open the skin on his palms. He cursed, tears pricking at his eyes as he quickly sat back, waving his hands back and forth in an attempt to alleviate the pain.
A voice Jimin hadn't heard in a week called out from behind him. "Jimin-ah? Are you okay?"
Jimin's heart sped up. No, I don't want to talk to him now!
But it looked like he had no choice in the matter.
His stalker was back.
