Louis' POV

I let out a heavy breath. When I decided to do this, I didn't think it'd be this hard. I don't know about this anymore. Ugh! I slam my fists against the steering wheel of my black Range Rover. This is ridiculous! I don't even know her!

I left Callie last night feeling extremely guilty and I just had to make up for it. I do have a problem with this. I am not a nice person, let's just leave it at that. I know what's going to happen. I am going to fucking fall for her then I'll just get heartbroken. Again. Ugh!

I can't believe I did this...

Callie's POV

So...yesterday I prepared myself for a job interview. I tried to look good at least...

Anyways, I went into the house they told me to meet then at. I know, you're probably thinking how stupid I am for going into a complete strangers house. but I was desperate. Really freaking desperate.

I rang the doorbell and a lady with light brown hair, curled to her shoulders, came. She had a tight red pencil dress on with matching heels. Her makeup was natural and her lipstick was bright. She looks at me with a disgusted face and steps to the side, letting me in. When I stepped inside, there was a welcoming feeling. The place smelled of cinnamon and mint. This hose was really big. There was a spiral staircase leading up to two more stories and several different hallways and rooms.

"Down the hall, to the right." The sophisticated lady told me, turning and leaving down another hallway. Well...

I follow her orders and head down the hall. I take a right and see a man sitting on one of the fluffy chairs. All I see of him is a mop of curls. When I enter he turns around. He is extremely attractive with his bright jade eyes and tattoos. He stands and walks over to me. He shakes my hand and smiles. Dimpled I may add.

"Please, take a seat. I'm Harry!" He says and I smile.

"Callie." I reply quietly and we both sit down on the comfortable furniture.

"So I understand that you are need of a job." He looks up at me from his papers. I nod,

"Yes. Desperately." I let out an awkward laugh and he just looks back down at the paperwork. I clear my throat at the weird silence.

"Alright. Well we have one for you. It is here at the house..."

"Wait." I interrupt him. "What do you mean the house?" He swallows then looks back at the stack of papers.

"Well you would be working as a maid." He says and my eyes widen.

"What? I mean I'll take it but who lives here? What do I need to clean? I don't know anything about this place!" I say and chuckle at how irrelevant he's being.

"I assure you, the previous maid here has quit her job and will show you around. Everything will be fine." Harry says in a calm manner.

"Ok...what's that pay rate?" I ask with a hint of annoyance in my voice. He nods and answers,

"Fifteen an hour." my eyes widen, I've never owned more than five bucks.

"Okay. I will notify the former maid and let her know about all this." He says. I nod. "Okay."

Louis' POV

"Louis!" I hear Harry calling my name behind me. I turn around.

"She has the job. On Monday Jillian will show her around the house." He states proudly.

"What?" I snap. His mouth opens and closes several times, trying to find the right words, but couldn't.

"I specifically told you that I wanted to show her around! Not ducking Jillian!" I yell. Harry backs away nodding frantically.

"Yes, sir."

I shake my head and turn back towards the spiraling stairs. I take them two at a time, sprinting up to my room.

This house doesn't actually belong to me. It was my father's. I don't like talking about him. So I won't.

I slam my door frustrated. I don't know why I get so worked up about this. I can understand it about my dad but work? It's really fucking annoying! And it's just all of a sudden. Like...after I saw her...

I sit down on my bed and the mattress sinks form my weight. I run my hands over my face then my hair.

This will definitely be harder than I thought.

Callie's POV

Today is the day. Today is the day I start my new job. It's kinda weird but I really need the money. I mean c,me on it can't be that bad.

I walk up to the long, continuing driveway and up to the door. My small hand grasps the large metal knocker, pounding on the heavy door. I take a step back from the door. I start glancing around at the scenery around me. There has been a bunch of yard work and professional help done to it. It's beautiful, but I just don't think it's my cup of tea.

My head snaps back at the door when the handle jiggles. The same lady from the interview last week stands there, staring at me. She has the same look of disgust written across her face. I give her a kind smile and she nods letting me in. When I step inside a man greets me at the bottom of the stairs. It's the same man from last Friday. The one who was asking where I lived and what my name was. I think his name was Lewis.

Suddenly, my shoes become very interesting. When I finally glance up, he is staring straight at me. I looked back down at my feet. What kind of coincidence is this?

"Hello, love." Before I know it he's standing in front of. His hands are behind his back and he's looking into my eyes.

"Right this way." He says offering me an arm. I hesitantly accept it, looping my arm into his. He walked me up the stairs then made a left turn.

"Callie. Right?" He asks me and I nod.

"Lewis."

"Louis." He corrects me,

"Sorry." I say but Louis brushes it off.

We went through practically the whole house. I got really used to being with him. We were laughing and just having fun the whole time. I also found out that he lives here and that it was his father's house. But when I asked about his father he got a bit grumpy...

"Last room." He says with a smile, opening the door. Behind it is a room. It has a beautiful queen sized bed and a gorgeous chandelier above it. Straight ahead there is a set of double doors leading out to a balcony. I totally envy the person who gets this bedroom.

"Who's is this?" I ask and walk in, spreading my arms out, enjoying the atmosphere.

"Yours." He says with a smile. My arms drop back to my sides as I take three steps towards him.

"Nuh uh." I whisper. He pushes himself off the wall, taking a step closer to me. Our lips are one inches apart.

"All yours." He tells me. I can feel tears spring in the back of my eyes out of happiness and joy. I wrap my arms around his neck in a hug. It takes him a minute but he does respond, wrapping his arms around my torso.

"Thank you." I whisper and pull away.

His hands rest on my hips, mine on his shoulders. he leans in, kissing me on the forehead. My mouth opens the slightest bit.

"Goodnight, Callie."

And with that, he leaves, shutting the door behind him.
