The Jester | Yeonbin fanfic

As Soobin walked back he recalled the events that happened. He blushed when he remembered how tight he held Yeonjun. He knew he preferred boys over girls so he accepted the fact that there might be a possible chance of him liking the boy. He remembered the brochure the boy gave to him, he started examining it closely.

"Dream Carnival huh? And where could that be?" he asked himself.

Soobin entered his home placing the items on the table. He went to his room and tried to call Beomgyu.

Ringing~

"Hey hyung!"

"Beom, what's the name of the carn- I mean place we'll be going tonight?"

"Dream Car- place. Dream Place why?"

"No reason just wanted to know! I mean I should right?" he stuttered chuckling nervously.

"Okay? See you later then!" Beomgyu said bidding goodbye.

They ended the call and Soobin started to make up excuses. He wasn't sure how he was going to tell his mother but as long as he didn't mention a carnival he'll be fine. "Binnie? You home?" his mother yelled. "Yeah mom, why?" asked Soobin. His mother entered the room. "Hey Binnie, you going somewhere?" his mother asked slightly shocking Soobin. I mean she's his mother after all. "Yeah, why?"
"Where?"
"Somewhere with Beomgyu." answered Soobin, he kept saying to himself not to mention the carnival. "Oh, okay but be back home before 10." his mother said before leaving. That was weird. Soobin thought but didn't mind at least he didn't have to make excuses to his mother.

The whole afternoon Soobin did nothing but stare at the ceiling and read every word in the brochure Yeonjun gave to him. He didn't remember his weekends to be this boring. He ignored the idea of going outside since he'll be going out later. He started reading the brochure for the nth time.

"Bibbidi bobbidi our Magic Island, Where our Dreams Become Reality." he said out loud. Not knowing what it meant he started to drift off to slumber.

Ring, ring~

Soobin woke up to his phone ringing. The sky was already turning black, he didn't know how many hours he slept. He answered his phone "Hello?"
"HEY SOOBIN WHERE ARE YOU?"
"Huh?" he asked confused completely forgetting the carnival.
"Dream Carnival does that ring the bell?" oh right they were going there.
"Yeah give me five minutes I'll see you later. Bye." yawning and getting up from bed, he started washing his face. He got dressed and went outside to find Beomgyu.

After walking for what was like a mile, he saw Beomgyu with a guy. "Hi hyung! This is Huening Kai a new friend I met that also sneaks out of the kingdom to go to carnivals." Beomgyu said while pushing Kai in front of him. "Hi" he awkwardly said. To break the ice he slumped his shoulder over the two shorties he was with and said "Well we could always use a new friend who actually knows where we're going. Don't be nervous Kai." The three smiled and Kai started leading the way.

Soon they arrived at a glowing circus. It had many lights and was bright enough to be seen from afar. "Dream Carnival here we are!" said Kai jumping. The three were excited and entered the carnival. "Wow, so this is what a carnival looks like." Soobin said, amazed. "Hyung let's play!" Beomgyu said holding the older's hand and dragging him to those mini-games where they toss rings to bottles. They played and Beomgyu ended up winning a giant teddy bear. "Hyung look!" he said proudly showing his bear. "Nice one Beom, but how are you gonna get that home?" asked Soobin lightly patting the bear. "I'll just say I got it from the arcade!" he said and left him to play more. "Beom wait up!"

"Beom wait up!" Yeonjun smiled hearing the familiar voice. He was unrecognizable since he had makeup on and facepaint that covered his entire face, he didn't change his costume though. He decided to follow the boys with a hint of jealousy since he hasn't seen the bunny with someone else. He saw them riding the Viking ride. It made him laugh because of the look Soobin had on his face, terrified! "Beomgyu-ah I don't wanna ride this!" "Hyung don't be a scaredy-cat! COME ON!!!" Yeonjun just chuckled as he heard the two scream at each other.

"Hey Yeonjun hyung, the show's about to start in 10 minutes get ready." a younger boy who wore the same costume but a different color said. Yeonjun was wearing a blue and yellow costume while the boy earlier was wearing a green and yellow one. The two went to the largest tent in the carnival that was at the edge near the food stalls and mini-games. "Hyung look jesters! Real ones!" Beomgyu pointed. "Yah don't point! They look pretty cool, to be honest. That one looks familiar." Soobin said as he watched the blue and yellow jester not knowing it was his friend from earlier. "Huh? You've seen one? Is it in the kingdom?" Beomgyu asked curiously. "Aish no. How about we watch their performance? Come on!" Soobin suggested. Before the younger could speak he dragged Beomgyu to the large tent.

They settled sitting on the third row from the stage. The two saw their friend earlier Kai going to their direction with two buckets of popcorn on his hands. "Here sorry I only bought two. This one's flavored cheese the other one's butter." Kai said giving Beomgyu the butter flavored one. They didn't mind sharing. After five minutes the show started. Clowns and jesters were seen walking on a ball while juggling random stuff over their heads. Magicians magically make birds appear from their hats and sleeves. The performance went on but one thing caught Soobin's eye.

The blue and yellow jester. His performance was dancing and balancing things. This performance of his needed audience participation. He asked for the most random things from the strangers in front. Then he pointed to Soobin. The other jesters then went to him and asked "Hi cute one, we need a little help. Do you have stuff with you? This is a robbery." One jester said laughing. "Hey don't scare the kid. But for real though, do you have a ten?" the jester who talked first to him slapped him away. "Hey kid, I think you have something in your ear!" the jester balancing on the stage yells. "You're right!" the jester in front of Soobin said. He reached for his ear and to his surprise, there was a coin. "Oof you poor thing! Do you have more?" said the jester and once again reached behind his ear.

Their eyes widened and it worried Soobin. The poor boy being invaded by a lot of jesters. "Awww it looks adorable!" Beomgyu and Kai squealed. The jester showed Soobin a small bunny. "I got something Jun! Here!" the jester holding the bunny faked throw the bunny to the blue and yellow jester which earned a shocked expression and screams from the audience. "I'm kidding I'm not gonna hurt the poor guy! Here hold this!" the jester gave the bunny to Soobin and left. "Hyung can I hold it?" asked Kai sweetly. He gave the bunny to the younger which earned awws and squeals from the two. He went back to watching the show. He noticed the blue and yellow jester staring at him. He smiled and waved which the jester waved back almost throwing the things balancing to the audience. Soobin laughed and continued to enjoy the show.

On the other hand, Yeonjun was flustered. He felt butterflies on his stomach and a bit embarrassed since he almost failed his stunt but the audience seemed to get more hyped up. During the show, Yeonjun focused on the tallboy and tried to impress him. Every time he would smile and show amazement the older would smile. He would often hear his heart beating loudly.

He indeed was falling for this boy.
