A Forgotten Past

Shoto's POV:

It was morning. Shit.. Tomorrow was the day I started a new school. Father had homeschooled me since I was 6, and I only had one friend back then... My father, Endeavour, made me lose all contact with him though, He said the boy was distracting me from training. I got up and headed to the bathroom. After that, I got dressed. I wore a white long-sleeved shirt, black jeans and a red checkered jacket. The jacket was sleeveless so it made the white shirt stand out more. After getting dressed, I headed to the kitchen and I greeted my sister, Fuyumi, as she entered the room, cheerful as always. She popped some Waffles in the toaster as I poured milk into my bowl of cornflakes. We both ate, Talking about how we think school will go tomorrow as we did so. After we ate I washed up our bowls and plates and as Fuyumi dried them we heard loud stomping.. "Father's up" Fuyumi stated with a shy smile on her face. I smiled in agreement. My smile was suddenly wiped off my face when father shouted. "SHOTO! COME HERE!" He roared in anger, I was suddenly trembling, becoming an emotional mess. "Y-Yes.. Yes father?" I stuttered, holding my hand over my mouth while praying he didn't hear the stutter. He grabbed my wrist tightly and dragged me into the training room. He striked his arm high above his head and slapped me hard to the cheek. He punched me. Slapped me. Kicked me.. He beat me to the ground until I could no longer stand. "Mistake. Maggot. Moron. Idiot. Disappointment!" He yelled at me. The last thing I remember before blacking out was being curled in a corner, blood dripping from my face and my tears stinging to the touch against my bruises. "Shoto, Wake up!" My whole body was just weak and limp and I could barely move. Fuyumi was beckoning for me to be okay, tears in her eyes. She picked me up and carried me to my bedroom, then sat me on my bed and tended to my wounds. It stung, they were tender to the touch because of how strong Endeavour is. It took the whole day to heal but before I went to sleep I went to Fuyumi, limping my way to her room. "Hey Fuyumi, Could I ask you a few questions..? I mumbled nervously. I spent 4 hours sitting by Fuyumi and asking her questions about my younger childhood and my friend. She answered all of my questions in detail apart from two..

"Fuyumi.. What was my friend like? What about his personality?"

"Well Shoto.. I'm forbidden to describe much. But he had an engaging anger and pure red eyes"

I imagined his eyes as a calming but enraging Ruby red and his personality as an exploding ball of anger. I was pretty excited for school tomorrow so I kept a smile on my face as I walked back to my room. Well.. Limped. I decided to go to sleep right away so the next day would come quicker.

Fuyumi's POV:

Shoto seemed joyful after I answered almost all of his questions. I think he's looking forward to school now too! I'm so glad. "I should probably go to sleep now." I said to nobody in particular as I got up and changed for bed.

Okay so it's 11pm now, This took about 2 hours even though its not much. Motivation is hard to find with a lot on your mind. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the first episode of "Why You?".
