Home Again (Part three of the Carlos x Reader story)

Chapter 2

 (y/n) ran quickly down worn-down paths through the forest and up into the mountains. For most of the journey the princess was lucky that she hadn't stepped on any sharp sticks or rocks with her bare feet, but her luck did run out. As the girl climbs up a steeper section of the mountain the girl loses her footing and slides for a short period of time down the side of the mountain. Eventually she was able to catch herself. While breathing heavily she looked up to the higher location she previously was and sighed. Then she noticed the small red lines that were on the side of the mountain in front of her. In a slight panic she looked down and noticed that as she slid, she had skinned her knees and parts of her feet. Quickly she climbed to a small ledge and sat with her legs dangling. Looking down at her hands she noticed her fingertips were a bit torn up as well. The princess then rolled up her messy dress to above her knees and looked over the damage her fall had done. After untangling her hair (y/n) began to wrap her hair around her knees and feet then set her hands on her knees so that they too were touching the knotted locks that were wrapped around her legs. The girl then closed her eyes and sang her mother's healing song.

"Flower gleam and glow. Let your power shine. Make the clock reverse bring back what once was mine." As she sung (y/n) (h/c) hair began to glow gold starting at the roots and spreading all the way down to the tips "Heal what had been hurt. Change the fates design. Save what has been lost. Bring back what once was mine. What once was mine."

As the princess opens her eyes their glowing green hue is revealed. Slowly the glowing of her eyes and hair fades away and she flips her hands to check them. She smiles as she sees that they are fully healed then proceeds to unwrap her legs and feet. Carefully the girl rebraids her hair and twists it back up into a tight bun. Standing the girl prepares to climb again when the blood-stained cliff catches her eye once more. Looking to her feet the girl whispered a spell to herself that made a pair of golden flats appear on her feet. Nodding to herself the girl continued to climb. After a few minutes past the princess made it to a large ledge with a beautiful view of Auradon. The princess smiled widely then began to walk around the area she was going to make into her new home. (y/n) then decided that she would make herself a palace on this ledge and it would be where she would live for then on.

After a moment of thought the princess began to use her magic to build. To start she walked to the edge of the cliff and looked across seeing another larger ledge. Carefully she focused her energy and created a bridge. The bridge started as a simple sheer sheet of golden magic but as time passed the gold became opaque and slowly became a tan stone bridge. Walking across it she made her way to the second ledge. At the end of the bridge she created a tall arch way with a square top but the opening in the middle was rounded. The girl then began to make the main of her palace. Starting simple she created a large rectangular building spotted with windows. There were two large doors off center on what appeared to be the second level of her structure. Since (y/n) was unable to get there she extended her bridge After the arch way there was now a ramp with a slight twist in the that lead to the door. The princess then began to make her way up the ramp to the doors and pushed them open. When she opened them, she saw many different rooms some of which were even correctly furnished. The girl then looked up and noticed that there was no roof or ceiling. Then using her magic, she created a traditional roofing as well as a few towers onto the rectangular base. As a final touch to her new ceiling the girl added a crystal chandelier. Moving forward the princess noticed that even though there was a floor above the second level she was currently standing on there was no staircase to get there. There was simply an opening in the indoor balcony on the upper level. Carefully she created the grade staircase step by step making them marble with gold accents and a lavender carpet cascading down each step. When she finishes her stairs the girl then begins to check each room and adds any finishing touches, she feels fit.
