Chapter 1- Lightpink Hoodie

I was getting ready for school. Today was Tuesday and most likely to be a Shadow Day which meant that we had to look nice because future students would be shadowing certain students for the whole day.

Well I guess I should introduce myself. Im Santiago Alvarez aka Santi. I'm 17 years old, 6'5, half black and Puerto Rican. I go to St. Matthews High School. But yeah lemme get back to what I'm doing.

Yeah so im now omw to school because ian tryna hear my brother Mateo talkin bout "bruh why was you late again? I told yo ass to start getting up early. Got them old rich white ppl callin my phone early in the morning while I'm at the trap tf". Man he a trip😂 but Ian tripping I'm gon be there a lil early since traffic ain't bad and I'm speeding.

I'm pretty happy today bc it's not every day that the thick chocolate girl across the street comes out to start her momma car. She ain't been doin it for a while idk why but I missed seeing her through my window. Little did she know that I was watching her.

she doesn't even know I live here bc I don't even be outside at the same time as her. I go to school before she does and I get back before she does but I'm 100% sure she has seen Mateo bc he is always in and out the house. Even when i go to the trap and come back she is never outside.

It's not that I don't want her to see me it's because my brother doesn't want anyone to know where we live bc of our occupations.

Ok I probably forgot to tell y'all but my brother runs the drugs of the East, West, and Midwest of the U.S. and most of Puerto Rico but I just help out with deals and stuff cuz that's not the life he nor I want for myself.

But yeah when I was watching ole girl this morning I noticed that she didn't have her school uniform on. She had a light pink Nike hoodie, black leggings, and light pink/rose gold huaraches on. Lookin all cute and shit. I didn't think much of it bc she may have been going to a appointment or something.

I pulled up to the school and got out sipping the rest of my smoothie from the morning. You know I gotta stay in shape because football and basketball season is coming soon asf.

As I was walking through the doors and to my locker to meet up wit my niggas. I hear my name being called... here we go

"SANTIIII...SANTI... SANTIAGO I KNOW YOU HEAR MEEEE".

"What do you want Briel? I don't have time for your bs today. Honestly, save it bc I don't gaf. Simple" I said then continued to my locker. So that annoying thot is my ex Briel. She is so fucking annoying like to the point where I wanna slap the disease infected saliva outta her mouth. Idek why I dated her. Ok yeah I do😂 she give bomb ass head and she was easy asf🤷🏽‍♂️

I arrived at my locker to see Chance and Von at they lockers a couple down. There wasn't too many people here at this time.

"Wassup nigga" Chance said dapping me up. Vons dumbass came over there talking bout "wadddddupppp my brooskies" ina surfer dude accent.

" Nigga you stoopid" I laughed at him. We all just start cracking up. After it dialed down, I looked up at the clock and it said we only have like 7 minutes to be in homeroom. I got my stuff Nd went to home room.

The first period went by slow asf because it was a study hall period. Omw to the next class which is AP US History I hear some of the youngins talking about someone.

"I've never seen her. She must be a shadow".

"Oooouuu her braids are cute and her shoes is nice ".

They was looking and pointing so knowing me I had to be nosy to see what the hype was about😂.

I looked above everyone to see a girl with long braids and a light pink hoodie. It low key looked familiar but I just continued to my class. I walked in the class to see ppl starting to sit down.

I looked around the class and Mr. Evers was speaking to Abby and another girl. It was the girl from the hallway. The bell rang and we all stood up for announcements, pledges, and prayer.

They talked and did the regular announcement stuff then we sat down. But as I sat down I turned around only to catch the attention of the girl I couldn't believe what I saw...
