Last night I got a text from Brandon
"Virgin boy is no longer existing,"
"Who's the unlucky girl?" I text back to Brandon, masking my sadness and hurt.
"Giselle Davids!" He replied back.
I showed Alice and she rolled her eyes and said, boy problems. "My place, ice cream and movie tonight. And NO BOYS!" I hugged her for a few moments before quickly letting go and running to class. Before I reached the door, however, I saw a sight that I wouldn't want to see in a millions years. Brandon's tongue down Giselle's throat. In the hallway, in front of everyone. My belly literally started to turn and I quickly turned away before the food I ate recently made an appearance.
I wasn't watching where I was going and bumped into Ryan Daniels. THE Ryan Daniels. He was just the head jock at Portland Middle School and Mr Popular! I fell to the ground with a massive thud. "OMG! I'm such a Klutz, I'm so sorry," I said, aches all over my body.
"It's okay," he replied, reaching his arm out and helping me pick up my books.
"Thanks so much,'' I flashed him a dazzling smile before asking, ''Is there anything I could do for you?"
"There is one thing," Ryan replied handing me my books. He took a deep breath and said, "I was wondering, if tonight you would want to hang out with me?"
I took a moment to reply. I mean, the head jock asking ME out? "I'd love to, you can pick me up at 7," Ryan nodded, he then leaned in and swiftly kissed me on the cheek. Just as he was leaning away, millions of butterflies erupted in my stomach and my cheeks flamed so I looked brighter than a cherry tomato.
As I looked to my left, I saw that Brandon was standing by himself staring at me. As soon as my eyes met his, he quickly looked away. I wonder how much of the conversation he saw and heard.
After school, I texted Alice to come over to my house at 5 and I told her about the date and the encounter with Brandon, afterwards. I asked Alice what it meant, but she turned away with a knowing face. I would've asked her about what she knew, but no one can ever get anything out of Alice if she didn't want you to know.
