It has been years since the bomb went off. No one was allowed outside. They saved about thirty males and females that was brought in with someone. The saved them in a building that was safe from any more bombs going off. That person they brought in with would be your 'love' as they called it. The only person you can be with. That's the rule until one day my friend and I kind of break the it, with the help of a person we never thought we would be friends with us. Who am I you might ask. Well let me tell you. I'm Ty and this is the story of where the world ended and I fall for my best friend.

"Ty! Wake up! We are going to get breakfast." Yelled the person I was brought in with, Ame

I rolled over on my bed to face her. "Fuck. No." I said slowly and rolled back over

She knew I hated her. She would never sit still, always loud. She would act like a female version of my friend Adam. But the problem was that she wasn't him. He was amazing. He understood me, he would always make me feel important, and he made me laugh when I was down. I wish he and I could be in the same room but we can't because its rear when you move rooms. But when you do you can ether be happy or mad. I listen to the door open and close and a faint whisper. I sat up and grabbed my phone and texted Adam.

Ty

'Sup Sky?'

'Not much. The roof, the dead unseen sky... Am I forgetting anything?'

'No I meant how are you?'

'Oh. Now I feel like an idiot'

'LoL.'

'So how is your roommate?'

'Bitchy. Like normal'

'Sorry man. Hey want to hang out in my room?'

'Yeah. After I shower and change though.'

'Okay. Just text me when you are going to come into my room.'

'K. See ya'

I set my phone on my bed and grab my towel and clothes. I go into the bathroom attached to my room. I turn on the water and undressed. I stepped into the shower, I let the hot water run down my body. I wash my body and turn off the water. I dry off and get dressed. I walk out of the bathroom and go into my room and grab my phone. I walk to the door and open it. I go to the stairs leading upstairs. I walk to room 211 and text Adam.

'Yo. I'm at your door'

'Okay hold on. I have the stove on.'

'Wait! Are you cooking?'

'Yeah. Why do you ask?'

'Remember what happened last time?'

I hear a faint laugh from inside the door. The door swings open and I see my friend, Adam. He pulls me into the room and shuts the door. He pulls me into a strong hug, like a bone crushing hug. It would hurt if I wasn't used to it.

"Well hello to you too." I say as he release the hug

He rubs the back of his neck and pulls me into the kitchen. He makes me sit at the table as he grabs something off of the stove. He grabs two plates from in the storage closet. He hums quietly to himself. He puts a plate in front of me and he sits on the other side of the table. He plays with his pancakes for a bit before talking.
