[y/n's point view]
the next morning

MY EYES FLUSTER OPEN and I wiggle my way out of noah's grip. I quietly creak downstairs and see finn whipping up hash browns.

"finnlard, if your making breakfast for yourself then you should be kind and make me avocado toast," I grog as he turns to look at me.

"I knew you'd be the early bird of us all," he laughs. "can't say the same here," I chuckle opening up the fridge. "hey I have an idea finn," I say getting his attention.

"I'm intrigued," he says turning the stove down a couple notches. "it's gonna be a hot minute before everyone wakes up and your stuff is almost done. am I correct so far," I start to discuss.

he nods a simple response. "we should sneak out and go somewhere for our 'friend date'," I say eyeing the car keys on the counter.

"what if they catch us? noah will hunt me down!" finn says turning the burner off. "hey their not gonna find out, and a little adventure never can hurt," I wink.

"fine fine we'll go," he says picking up the keys and quietly walking out the door.

I had no clue where it is he's taking me but I'm sure it'll be a blast.

[finn's point of view]

we get into the van and back out of the driveway as sly as possible.

if the others found out me and y/n snuck out together we would be in deep shit. especially with her boyfriend.

y/n and I used to hang/sneak out all the time when we were younger. I knew her before she became a cast of stranger things.

we've always been really close but we drifted quite a bit when she got with noah. I tried to ignore it but I've always held a special place for y/n in my heart.

so I knew where I was gonna take her to.

"I have the perfect cover story if we do get could though, it even benefits us," y/n says as she lets her hair fly in the wind.

"and how is that l/n," I say. "after our detour we can go buy coffee and when we get home if they ask what we were doing we say we were buying drinks. I figure none of them will be up early enough to know how long we were out but if one of them does we'll say the line was insane," she says propping her legs on the dash board.

"I like I like," I say.

"finn where the hell are you taking me," I laugh as finn takes a turn onto a trail. "so do you remember 3rd grade when we told me you loved waterfalls," he smiles.

"I-I yeah," i was amazed. this boy remembers the words I once told him from third grade. "well there's this spot I found with nick, it's the most beautiful place ever just wait," he says.

after a couple minutes we get to a place full of rock glaciers. "here we are," we both get out of the car and I admire the sight. the rocks looked like crystals in the early morning sun.

"the real sight is this way," he takes my hand and leads me towards a opening between two rocks. the opening was covered by vine like plants.
