Chapter Three

(Reader's POV)

I stand in front of the royal garden. It's after school right now meaning I can visit without being confronted.

I look down at my clothes. Today, I'm wearing a jacket over my black "I don't care!" shirt. Covering my legs is a green skirt similar to my school uniform. Hanging off my shoulder is a shoulder bag that is carrying Muse, Symphony, Score and Sola.

I entered only to be face to face with Kukai. I feel a blush creeping onto my face. My eyes are wide in shock.

"(Name)." I blink a few times and start laughing to hide my shock and awkwardness.

"(NAME)!!!!" I look over Kukai's shoulder and see Yaya, Amu and Tadase running to me. Afraid of them trampling me, I start to character change.

"You guys!!!!! You scared me!" I shouted at them with Muse, Symphony, Score and Sola.

"Muse! Symphony! Score! Sola!!" The charas shouted floating over to my own charas.

-after I stop flying-

"What are you doing here?" Yaya said exited with tears in her eyes.

"I moved here with (b/n)!" I said cheerfully.

"Where is your school gonna be?" Kukai asked as though we never had a thing.

"Victoria Middle School!" I said with my charas nodding.

"That's where I go!" He said just as I notice his clothes.

"I can see that!" I said jumping around with Yaya because I can't keep my excitement in.

"You look so different I almost didn't recognize you!" Amu said a tsundere smile gracing her lips.

I look at the conveniently placed mirror that I noticed. My former long (h/c) hair is now short. My hair is goes just pass my shoulders. Near my neck, they bend and now it looks short but pretty. (Looks like Lindsey Stirling's hair.) My figure changed. Now it's a hourglass figure. Soccer and gymnastics being the cause.

"How did you change your figure so fast?" I heard Amu mumble under her breath.

"Soccer and gymnastics." I whispered into her ear making her blush.

"W-whatever." I giggle and start heading to the door after realizing the time.

"I've got to go home you guys."

"Oh I'll go with you." Kukai said making me nod slightly.

"So do you still live in the house next to mine?" I nearly choked on my own spit at his question.

"My grandparents bought it so we have to stay there." I take a deep shaky breath.

"Oh... cool." There was an awkward silence before I broke it.

"So how have you been?" I ask him making him glance at me in the corner of his eye.

"Ok... but I did miss you." I blush and smile at his comment.

"Me too." I said looking up at the sky and see clouds. Storm clouds that is and smiled. That may be a little weird but I really like rain.

We keep walking but it starts raining making him try to run home but I just jog along with him. I don't really care if I get wet but I can understand why he doesn't want to get wet. He must only have a few uniforms on him.

"(N/m)! Hurry!" I laughed and ran to catch up to him but then I saw the park. I grabbed his hand and ran to under the slide.

I start laughing. His light brown hair is flat on his head making him blush a little and try to fix his hair but starts laughing with me.

"Your hair!" I keep laughing along with him.

"Yours too!" I reach to my head and find that my, now, short hair is messy. I keep laughing until my stomach hurts too much.

"Good times!" I wipe a year from my eye.

We stay silent for a little but then I hear something. Like snoring. I look at Kukai as he looks at me. Looking around, I find a kitten under the slide and gasp.

"Oh my gosh!" I pick it up and find that it's wet. I take off my jacket and wrap it around the kitten and hug it to myself.

I'm not wet so the jacket probably kept the kitten warm. I then remember that Sola, Symphony, Score and Muse are sleeping in my bag.

"Muse! Symphony! Score! Sola!" My voice made them pop out of my bag. Apparently, Symphony can heal and stuff.

I character changed with Symphony and start examining the kitten. It seemed alright but it was cold so I brought it closer to me.

Just as I finished, the rain stopped just enough for me and Kukai to run home. When I opened the door, the rain started beating the roof to a bloody pulp.

"Grandma!!" Grandma came into the living room, where I was, and saw the cat and immediately understood.

"Bring it up to the bathroom!" I nodded and did as I was told.

When I got to the bathroom, the kitten had opened its eyes. It had fur so dark it looked blue. It's eyes were a beautiful green making me coo in awe.

"Shh." I comforted the little cat and laid it on the ground and plugged the sink then filled it with warm water.

I gingerly place the kitten in the sink making it hiss a little. It stopped jut as grandma enters with soap. It struggled but we finally were able to bathe it.

Apparently it's a... girl (you were thinking of Ikuto huh?!). I dried it up and went to my room. Grandpa and (b/n) arn't home yet meaning they're buying (b/n)'s supplies.

"(Name)?" I look to the door to see grandma then she walked aside letting me see Kukai. He was dressed in a big blue jacket, khaki shorts and a black shirt.

"Is it ok?" I nod as he enters my room and grandma leaves. I showed him the sleeping kitten.

"It's a she by the way." I said and pet it. I felt Kukai wrap his arms around my waist and lay his chin in my shoulder. I breathed in and move my head so I can look at him.

"I really missed you." He whispers, which makes me smile.

"I missed you too."
