This is a flashback to when Sarato was 3
In the hokage office Boruto is frustrated
Mitsuki: You know I can help you with this so you can be with your son.
Boruto: I've asked you to many times, and no it wouldn't be fair, you've been doing most of it when it's my job.
Mitsuki: Alright, shall i mail these documents?
Boruto: Yes.
Mitsukig: Will do.
The phone rings
Boruto: Hokages office.
Saratos day care is calling
Care taker is Namida
Namida: Um Boruto, it's about Sarato.
Boruto: What about Sarato!!!
Namida: He's about to take his first steps.
Boruto hangs up immediately
Boruto: COVER FOR ME MITSUKI!!!!!
Mitsuki: Same as ever
At day care
Boruto walks in the play room to see Sarato about to stand and he walks in kneeling 5 feet away
Boruto: Come on Sarato come to daddy.
Sarato takes a shakey step while Namida pulls put her phone to record it
Sarato begins to whimper and 2 shakey steps
Boruto: Thats it, just a few more.
Sarato runs into his fathers embrace and crys.
Sarato can talk but in baby like speak
Sarato: Daddy I missed you!!!"cries"
Boruto: I'm hear now, and I'm so sorry I wasnt able to pick you up yesterday.
Sarato: Why isn't mommy hear.
Boruto: She's still on her mission.
Sarato looks down and cries
Boruto: But hey I'm hear.
Sarato just looks more depressed
Sarato: Not the same.
Boruto: Come on lets go get some ice cream.
Saratos face lights up
Sarato: Chocolate!!!!
Boruto: Yes I know.
