Broken Mirror

Mirror, mirror on the wall,

Just how far must you fall,

Before you break and crumble to dust,

Taking with you your hatred and lust,

Your shattered pieces on the ground,

Whisper out “don’t make a sound”,

To not disturb the dream all around,

The silent peace you have only just found,

And now I see my future, as you copy my past,

Who would have thought our friendship wouldn’t last,

I never would have guessed that you’d vanish so fast,

It is such a shame that today is your last.
