Every Open Door Has a New Beginning (II)

——————————

"You're expelled," Mr. Mult said while searching for something on the cabinets. "You broke the promise, and that is what you get."

Rob shifted his gaze to another direction, tedious of seeing Mr. Mult looking up for something in the shelves.

"And if you're looking for Lily. Well, she's absent for today, boy. Fever hit her yesterday." Mr. Mult threw down the pile of ancient folders, as dust clouds puffed as it hits flat on the white tiles. "You can go now, Mr. Evans. There are still good schools out of town, perhaps it's time for you to venture out of here. Remember to give that letter to your grandmother, and send her my best regards. Good luck out there."

However, something caught Rob's attention. A tiny piece of paper was tucking out of one of the pockets in his bag, and then he remembered that it was the strange letter he received last night. Rob picked it out, unfolded the letter, and saw the name: Camp Hexarth, a camp of magic. On the bottom, Rob saw the date that he would be picked up, which was tomorrow—September thirty first. And at the back was a list of weird and strange supplies:

What was this all about? These were all impossible to find at the Norion Dale's supermarket, and Rob thought the paper was a joke or something made by a nine year old. At the side, a weird list of books was written in red ink.

"Mr. Evans, you can go now, unless if you want me to see what you're reading," said Mr. Mult.

"I-I'm going now." Rob stood, his eyes locked on the paper. He twisted the knob as it creaked, and he heard Mr. Mult's last words.

"Be careful out there. Good luck."

"I will." Rob nodded, closing the door from behind. This was it. No more homework, no more tests, and most especially, no more Mrs. Adlin. Rob was finally free, but how was he going to confront his grandma about this? Rob still needed to think about that.

The corridors bustled with people he'd never seen again, even Mark. Rob needed to see Mark before he would go. This was the first time Rob didn't worry about being kicked out (because he already did), for sure Uncle George would neither scold him nor don't care about his business. But he promised that he'll work hard to earn money to be able get out of this town, even if it means cutting the time at studying the stars. The thing he loved to do most.
