And then, It happened.

I couldn't believe it. I was about to see my idol, no my god! Right here and now. I shook quietly with anticipation as I took in every word. I squirmed slightly when she complemented me on how I was cute even if she couldn't see me through the door. I was to happy to even care about anything going on around me. The doctor opened the door and there, sat in a white cloth and medical bed, was my Queen.

Even in her state she looked beautiful. No, she looked godly. She was tired looking, and had a paler complexion but she still looked breathtaking. I nearly fell in love twice. "Hey I was right she is a cutie." I blushed harshly and the only thing snapping me out of my crazed trance was Brian clearing his throat loudly. I snapped back into reality and whipped the drool off my lip. I wanted to say something but I was to afraid of stuttering to even attempt. "You're name is (YNH), right? Doc informed me." She said, her voice gingerly filling my ears. "Y-Yes that's me..." I said sheepishly. "And you must be Mr Quinn?" She asked directing her attention to Brian. I wanted to take all of her attention for myself, Brian shouldn't have it. He can't have it. "Mhm." He responded as I stared at him with a warm smile that meant he did something wrong. He backed off the subject of talking with her and used the old 'I have a phone call.' trick.

This was it. I finally had her in a room all to myself. She looked at me and motioned for me to come closer. I did as I was told and sat in the visitor chair beside the medical bed. "Hey cutie, so, why don't ya tell me about yourself?" She said as I sat down obediently. "Well, I'm a fan of yours..." I started, she clapped her hands together excitedly. "I always like to meet fans! Even though I'm in here... What kind of hobbies do you have?" Her voice was so mesmerizing I could almost get lost in it. "I like drawing and writing mostly." I replied. I fumbled with my fingers a bit to keep my mind from escaping to the laws of fan-fiction and leaving me with an awkward experience. "Oh an artist huh? Fancy. Tell me, what kind of animals do you like?" She asked, I blushed at the first remark then absentmindedly spouted out an answer for the question. "I like cats." She paused I thought for a second or two. "Mind if I call you kitten then?" She asked and looked at me for confirmation. I nodded sheepishly and blushed that we now were getting pet names. "Alright then, Kitten." She said smiling a bit.
I heard a sound disrupt my train of thought and my view at her warm smile. The doctor walked in after knocking and told me it was time for my surgery. I hugged Billie before following the doctor out. Brian was there waiting to join us. I followed the doctor to another room. They told me to lay down on the surgical table and they would put me to sleep with gas. I did so, and Brian held my hand while I was falling asleep. He's such a good friend.

When I woke up, I felt a pain in my stomach area. I heard Brian shout to a doctor something I couldn't hear. I smelled blood. The doctor stabbed me with a needle which seemed to numb the pain in my stomach. I feel back asleep after that.

When I woke up again, I couldn't feel anything. It seemed like everything was swirling together and making a mess of my vision. Voices swirled through my mind as I tried to listen in for any words or sentences I recognized. I barely did. After a solid thirty minutes of this I could get my bearings. I was in a different room in a medical bed. I had IV's in and a heart monitor. I seemed to be fairly normal in the monitors rhythmic beeps. They sounded soft. I noticed most of the people had left the room and Brian was sitting at the far end of the room. I stared at him for a moment. He seemed to have fallen asleep. I decided it would be best if I join him in sleeping.

I was softly woken up by Brian gently shaking my shoulder. I groaned slightly forgetting that I had just had surgery and was tempted to roll over when a tug at my stomach stopped me. I stopped and turned to look at Brian with my best attempt at looking awake even though I was feeling not even sober from the dream realm. I have so many dreams that will never come true in there but at least one did. Meeting my idol.
Brian called for a doctor telling them I was awake. The doctor walked in and stepped near my bed and Brian. He cleared his throat. Both Brian and I were awaiting what he would say. My anxiety rose as I thought something could have went wrong for Billie's side. Even though it could have ended up in me losing my life, which I am grateful to have, I would gladly give it up for her. The doctor fumbled with his clipboard before finally finding the paper with my information on it. He began to flip through it for what seemed like forever as he found the report of the transplant.
"Good news is the surgery was successful. All went well during transplanting and all went well for both sides. Bad news is we aren't quite sure of how the loss of your kidney will affect your life style. If you have any problems please contact us immediately. We would like for you to monitor your health over the next few years to give a closer examination of any changes over time." The doctor said, he looked over to Brian and handed him the clipboard after flipping it a few more times and handing him a pen also. I did it. I lived and Billie did too. I saved my crush. I saved my queen. Nothing can take away the joy I have right now. Not even my parents.
