Chapter 1
Twenty four year old Alyssar sat down and stared at her father. He was really selling her off. She wore the hijab and was covered very unflatteringly. He was really doing it. Son of a bitch, good for nothing jerk. All for money.
Gregory Carlton the head of he mafia underworld looked at her and smiled. "Do I get to see what is under the cloth?" He asked her father.
"Only when you wed her. She is as pure as they come. I had her checked out" Oh allah kill me now. She was so embarrassed by her father. He was as money hungry as they came. He spoke of religion like it meant something to him, in truth, he translated the Koran to suit his needs.
"How can I be certain?" He asked. Alyssar drew in a breathe.
"You can have your own female doctor check her out" He said. Gregory seemed content with that.
"May I have a moment alone with her?" He asked her father. Who of course nodded.
"By all means"
Once they were alone he eyed her out. Sure he was a handsome enough man, very well monied, but he was a criminal. If Islam had taught her anything at all, it was that we do not lie, cheat, steal or kill...and of course do not commit adultry.
"What is your name?" He asked her.
"Alyssar Abdul" She said looking at him. He seemed so comfortable to be sitting down like he owned the world.
"Are you happy to be marrying me?" He asked her. She could not believe this guys audacity.
"As happy as I am to be shot in between my eyes." She said smiling. He gave her a look like he was not used to being spoken to like that.
"I am paying a hefty price for you. Haj Omar said that you will be willing." Her father needed to die.
How dare he play the man of religion when he was nothing but a criminal.
"Well if Haj said that, then so be it." She wanted him to leave. His entire presence was disturbing her.
"You will not wear that shit on your head as my wife" He was an animal.
"It is called a Hijab and it is something sacred to me" She said lifting her head proudly.
"Yeah, it's called being branded a suicide bomber or a terrorist. No can do..." She felt her anger take shape.
"You are a very rude man." She couldn't help herself. He smiled showing his perfect teeth.
"I like you, it will be fun to break you..." With that he left.
Not ten minutes after he left her father walked in. "You better have not scared him off" He barked.
"You are something else. You want me to marry a man who is a crimianl, not of my religion all for money? Tell me father where in the Quran does it say that is okay?"
"Do not speak of things you know nothing about. You will marry him and you will be a good wife" He ordered. She smiled shaking her head.
"Oh father, one day when Allah is judging you, you will remember this...you are as sick as all the criminals in the world. Worse because what you preach is so full of rubbish."
Now the day was upon her, she would be picked up and taken to marry that man. Her father would not even allow her to marry him in the name of Allah, saying that Gregory did not wish for that. So not only was her father forcing her to marry man outside her religion and her culture, he was making her sin against everything. At least when she married in the islamic way she would not be sinning when she had to consummate her marriage.
